I'm a lazy bastard, so i only review places when it's something to write about. This place in one of those. Nothing overly luxurious, but the value for money and the incredible service minded host makes this place (close to) 10 points! Use this guy to book tours as well.

Incredible stay. Very clean and comfortable, with working AC and a ceiling fan. Both warm and cold water for the shower. Most notably, the hosts were fantastic! So welcoming and so helpful. When we arrived they drove us to a scooter rental so we could get our scooter. The one day we had to leave early to go to Sigiriya for the day and they packed us a breakfast to go. Dinner at their restaurant was affordable and delicious. On the morning we left, they drove us to the bus station and stayed with us to make sure we caught the right bus. If you’re staying in Dambulla you should definitely stay here. These may be the most helpful hosts I’ve ever had while travelling across Southeast Asia.

The place is perfectly situated walking distance to the Dambulla Cave Temple. It is surrounded by flowering plants and trees giving you a really serene experience. The room is clean and equipped with hotel-like necessities. It has its own balcony overlooking their backyard full of fruit bearing trees. Madhu and Sanjay are lovely hosts. Really accommodating and treated us like family. Will definitely stay here again once we’re back in Sri Lanka.

We weren’t the easiest guests (asked for a 7 AM breakfast and then ended up sleeping in). Still, hosts were gracious and accommodating, taking time to help us plan our sightseeing and arrange for drivers. Room was simple but clean. Working A/C and hot water.

My recent stay at The Forest Edge Hotel was an enchanting escape into tranquility. Nestled in a serene area, this hotel offers a refreshing break from the hustle and bustle of city life. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with the warmth of rural hospitality and the allure of village charm.
One of the highlights of my stay was undoubtedly the breakfast. The spread offered at The Forest Edge Hotel is simply delightful. From freshly baked pastries to hearty omelets, there was something to satisfy every palate. The quality of ingredients and the attention to detail truly set this breakfast apart, making it a memorable start to each day of my stay.
The ambiance of the hotel exudes a cozy village feeling, allowing guests to unwind and reconnect with nature. Surrounded by lush greenery and tranquil surroundings, I found myself immersed in a sense of peace and relaxation throughout my stay. It's the perfect retreat for those seeking a break from the chaos of urban life.

It's clean and great value for private room! It's also convenient and right in the center of Dambulla and a few minute walk to the Dambulla Cave temple.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
Amazing place, we enjoyed every minute there. Located further down from the main street, so it's very quiet. However, it's still close to all the restaurants and shops. Room was spacious, clean, A/C worked just fine, bed was comfortable. Breakfast was fine, food tasty, every morning we had fresh fruits to eat. Susa - husband of the host recommended us places to visit and arranged transport for us for two whole days. We highly recommend Rock Arch - best guesthouse in Dambulla.
Very quiet and nice hotel. The host was super helpful and helped us organize our trip and transport on very short notice (2-3 hours before starting). Breakfast was plenty and the Freitag platter a highlight. 10-15 minute walk to the city center. Can definitely recommend
Great host, very helpful and friendly.
Room was clean, good size with a pool right outside the door.
Exceptional value for money.
Great location for easy access to local attractions
The property is 5-6 min walk from Cargill supermarket and 8-10 min from the city center. Perfect for a quiet stay. The premises are maintained clean. Host is very helpful, he can get you a tuk-tuk to anywhere, arrange safari or Sigiria trips or any other activities.
The nice hosts and their charming boy made me feel like home.
Very quiet place and close to the temple.
The food, Rohini cooked only for, me was amazing.
Great place to stay. Friendly owner, who takes care of all his guests, ensuring they enjoy the stay in his guest house and Sri Lanka. And helping to plan the visit for those who haven't yet specified their plans
Place is close to the city centre but in quiet area with no traffic noise.
Restaurant with delicious food available (best roti I have ever eat).
Tuk tuk and taxi service available. I would recommend it for everyone who plans to visit Dambulla.
Accommodation in a small bed and breakfast with breakfast in a quiet part of Dambulla, near Dambulla Cave Temple. Clean, cozy room with air conditioning, a double bed, and a private bathroom with a toilet. Running hot water, a kind and helpful hostess who assists with transportation and other activities in the area.
Highly recommended.
The guest house is in a beautiful location, with easy access to transport to town and places of interest. Good for visiting the local temples (walking distance) and Sigiriya rock. Our host welcomed us with tea and fresh fruit, and provided a huge breakfast each day and a good evening meal. Our room was clean and the bed comfy.
The best guesthouse I have EVER stayed in and therefore deserves a lot of compliments. Well- equipped - almost everything you needed has been thought of by the host. It came with a touch of class and luxury too. Felt like at least a 4 to 5-star room. The room was spacious. The room was separate from the main bungalow and was therefore very private. The location was also excellent - near the main streets with shops and yet off it so that it was very quiet. Well done Rock Arch!
It is probably the closest appartement to the Temple cave and the golden Temple. And the best is, that you are in the nature and can observe the monkeys and birds from your own terrace while it is very quiet and you dont have the trouble of the city. The host has a friend who drives you by tuk tuk to e.g. the lion rock. For Sure you can also go by bus which is a lot cheaper.
Also the appartement and everything around is really beautiful.
