If you are looking for a busy hotel Nil Menik Villa is not for you, very quiet only 4 bedrooms. We felt it was our own private villa most of the time as we had 2 rooms. Lovely pool, whole villa well maintained and clean.
The food was good and everything cooked to order, so we gave our dinner preferences at least an hour before, which wasn’t a problem
If like us you have done a whirlwind tour of Sri Lanka IMO this is the perfect place to chill before the long flight home.

This cottage is a great find. The little house is perfect for a family or small group looking for somewhere comfortable with a bit of independence. Really well equipped, super attentive hosts and lovely decor. It feels safe, private and near to beach. A little drive from Bentota town but that’s a win for us.

The room was very spacious and there was also a kitchen (that we didn't use). The view from the terrace was amazing. With the ocean basically in front of the door, it can get quite loud at night though.
The staff (Dinesh) was lovely, very helpful and reliable. The town and mask museum are close by. We had a lovely stay.

Fabulous beach hotel. The staff were attentive and always happy to cater to our needs. The room was clean, comfortable and perfect view. The food was delicious and flavourful. The grounds are neatly kept. During our stay, there were many other couples enjoying their stay, in a comfortable quiet and relaxing atmosphere. No kids to be seen which made it even more wonderful to unwind. We will be back.
Kumu Beach is a cosy boutique hotel, which is mell managed by exceptional staff. The food was excellent and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel premises are well maintained, with a lovely garden and excellent swimming pool.
The most beautiful location, quiet, almost private beach, amazing design, comfortable rooms, nice food and of course, exceptional service, tailored and we really felt cared for. We traveled with our 2 year old that enjoyed the pool and the beach. I also was able to enjoy an amazing full body massage in the beach in the morning.
The homestay is located in a calm area with the beach in walking distance. It is a perfect spot to relax and the host family made me feel like home immediately! They are incredibly kind and carry a really warm energy with them. Moreover the food was super delicious and the room spacious and clean. All in all I can only recommend a stay in sweet pea😊
The hosts were very accommodating and got anything that we requested. The view of the lake was beautiful and the environment was very peaceful. These days in Sri Lanka it is hard to find a vacation spot that is not crowded but this place was perfectly quiet. Also the room was amazing! The pool was beautifully kept and maintained.
We visited at the end of our 2 week stay in Sri Lanka and it was easily the nicest hotel we've been to. The place felt like a little oasis with amazing views over the river, we spent a couple hours in the infinity pool watching eagles hunt there.
Jeewana was a great host. He gave us a lot of tips of what to see in the area and even drove us to a sea turtle sanctuary. Fantastic stay, would definitely come back!
The best hotel I’ve ever been privileged enough to stay at. Gorgeous building, and it only gets more breathtaking when you walk in. High quality rooms, and high quality service. The Madu river scenery was beautiful and it was a relieve to stay in such a quiet and peaceful environment. It is a really great location and a very loyal staff with adorable hospitality.
