This is a little gem and was one of our favourite stops in Sri Lanka. It's also right by the entrance of the national park which made our sightseeing convenient and easy. Bandula and Anousha are lovely hosts and go out of their way to make you comfortable and help organise your sightseeing. Our room was spacious an very clean and comfortable.

The room and property are clean, nice and comfortable. The breakfast is delicious. The owner is a husband and wife and they couldn't be more hospitable. They have a dog and cat, we love animals. They bought them out when we asked it we can see and play with them. We would return here again. I highly recommend staying here if your in the gal oya area. Really nice people and stay.
A recently renovated guest house, Beach Guest House Addalaichenai offers accommodation in Addalachenai. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace and free private parking.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
The host helped us organise a boat safari, a sunset hike and a taxi onwards. He also provided breakfast, lunch and dinner which were exceptional value. We were kept supplied in cold bottled water too which was invaluable as the town is small and there weren’t many other places nearby to get supplies. The accommodation is clean and comfortable and I would definitely recommend it; especially the hike with Asanka which was amazing.
The room is middle size, very nice and comfortable. The bed has an efficient mosquito net with a fan maybe a bit old but working well. The house is in a quiet area with a nice garden. Nearby you can find a wine store and a small shop. The location is very close to the entrance of the tank of Gal Oya national park where you can do a beautiful boat safari. There’s also plenty of beautiful hikes to do in the surroundings. Charitha is a nice person, very helpful and the breakfast and dinner his family prepares are tasty.
Nice little homestay off the beaten track to explore galoya park. Good aircon in the room. Not far from the park entrance. Host helped us arrange a jeep and boat safari (skip the jeep and just do the boat!). Very worth the detour from our route to see elephants swimming in the lake- just amazing.
Great location, very friendly personal, absolutely nothing to complain about. The host also organized boat safari and transport to out next destination without any problems. If you look for a place to stay while visiting the National Park this is a great place to do that.
Great hosts and incredibly kind family. We did a Jeep and a both safari in the gal oya national park, which were organized by our hosts. I can highly recommend both types of safari. The food was really delicious. Our hosts also drove us to our next stay in trincomalee (5h!) what we really appreciated.
this is a lovely home style guest house near Gal Oya National Park. Our host Bandula arranged safaris for us and his wife cooked us lovely home cooked meals.
Very friendly hosts and delicious Sri Lankan food. The location is great for Gal Oya NP and they run safaris from the guest house. When I didn't see elephants on safari, Badulla took me to look for them near town at a very reasonable rate.
It had just been painted.
We were on a cycling holiday so it's located was perfect for the route we wanted to do.
Quiet location.
Owners were helpful despite not speaking English and us not speaking Sinhala. He gave us a bottle of water and some biscuits as we left for our cycle ride.
Paid extra for the Aircon which was worth it
Cheap!
