Villa River View is in an excellent location and gorgeous view of the river which makes it a peaceful retreat . The home is very welcoming and kept in pristine condition by Viraj and his lovely family. I would highly recommend staying at Villa River View as I had great advice on the local area and what to see in this beautiful part of Sri Lanka which I would have not found out as a solo traveller .

the house just exceeded our expectations. The owner is very cool! I want to go back to Sri Lanka and live only in this guesthouse. We were given a large room, treated to fruits, provided a transfer to the airport at a good price. We had a fantastic stay at Residence Jasmine. A beautiful quiet spot on the river. Our room was spotlessly clean and had a lovely hot shower. The breakfasts were excellent - lovely juices.
The Wi-Fi worked very well. We had a wonderful boat trip from the hotel along the river and saw some incredible wildlife. The pool was lovely and also very clean.
Rooms were very clean. Comfotable place with very friendly hosts. Big garden area with lots of green plants. Its really close to the beach and not far away from the city center.
The couple that hosted were amazing, very welcoming and kind. The breakfast that is included was excellent with omelette and fruit and yogurt and juice and toast and local Sri Lankan breakfast stuff and pot of tea or coffee. The bed was large with its own mosquito net and the sheets were good quality and clean, and the pillows were good and the bed was comfortable. The shower was excellent and enclosed with its own prospect store, but it was a large area that was enclosed. The bathroom was a good size.
