Amazing place, private bungalow right on the border of large delta of Mékong with fantastic view facing Cambodia, away from tourist hustle. Amid small local village. You see no other houses from your terrace, only river and bamboo trees on the sides. Attentive stuff, few restaurants nearby. Really unique place!

Amazing atmosphere and very accommodating people! Great food as well. I think there's 3 rooms in total so it's never really crowded. Great if you want to wind down

We were initially placed in a three family room upstairs and were given the option to switch to a river view room the next day. However we preferred the bigger room with more privacy and the two hammocks. Very peaceful vibes and the host family was kind and knowledgeable. Not to mention great food I recommend the curry, sandwiches, and lemonade made in-house. Great bang for your buck.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Good location on Don Khone island close to good restaurants and the bridge to Don Det. Affordable price, quiet and on the river, little balcony outside the room to sit.
A lovely little guest house on the quieter Don Khon island but close to the bridge so with easy access to Don Det. The rooms were huge with comfortable beds, good air con and a nice balcony with hammocks
We rented bicycles from a nearby store for our stay (60 pence per day!) and cycled around both islands easily.
A peaceful and chilled part of the world
Perfect guesthouse for a cozy stay. We appreciated the large room and the private veranda. The view from the verandah over the Mekong is simply fantastic. We would have liked to stay much longer.
The accommodation is quiet and clean. The location is perfect: in the quiet part and yet not far from restaurants.
It is possible to book tickets for onward travel. Boats pick you up directly from the guesthouse.
A nice quiet location away from the main tourist areas, but still handy for the main drag on Don Khon. Restaurant at the guesthouse also has a good range of meals. Useful having bike hire available too.
I stayed in a bungalow, right on the river. I enjoyed the view, the sound of the river, and watching kids playing in the water. A/C was a must, since Laos was going through a historic heatwave. The bed was comfy. Bike rental for 1 USD per day is nice. Noy was a great hostess, very friendly and an excellent cook!
We spent the best time in Asia so far thanks to Thone and his family. It was his brother's birthday and they invited us and treated us like we were family. The place is quiet and you can rent bicycles. And the food is really good and cheap.
Thone, my friend, if you read this, thank you again for everything ! To you and your family. I hope we will meet again and sing together one more time ! :)
Warm welcome and directly at the boat pier.
Quiet with a great view to the river, especially on rhe upper floor.
Each room with hammock outside to relax.
Hot shower wirh good pressure.
Bicycle cheap to rent, booking of transports and trips always possible.
Owner lady has a restaurant 100 meters away and offers excellent food and drinks whole day.
Thanks for a perfect 4 nights stay. Kaupjai lai lai 🙏🏻
lovely spot on the Don Khone, really peaceful and quiet. the island itself it’s much less crowded and more quiet than Don Det. Hosts were very friendly and keen to help arrange any trips or activities and onward travel! nice breakfast included.
rooms were large as were the en suites. the terrace was a lovely place to sit in a morning.
bikes to hire and quick laundry service; both reasonable prices.
I liked the spacious room and bathroom (where the shower is hot with quite good pressure and NOT over the toilet which seems to be a Lao speciality!)
The air conditioning was very much needed and welcome.
I enjoyed the spacious communal balcony with chairs and hammock and the solidity of the structure.
Great location near shops and restaurants and where the boats arrive.
Great bikes for hire at a cheap price.
Friendly, helpful owner and family.
