The location, very close to all the tourist attractions. Walkable distance to the fortress, palace, museum, markets and chicken street. You can do laundry for a small fee. The staff (the old man) was kind even with limited English. Breakfast was a bowl of instant ramen noodles.

A good fairly central location with a good sized room. Comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Very friendly owners who also serve excellent coffee. The attached cafe is very nice and ideal for a morning coffee or a snack during the day.

Private - i could do self check-in, barely met anyone at the facility (however, host was responsive to messages). Area was quiet and felt safe, a lot of services nearby (convenience stores, cafes, restaurants, laundromat), subway station line 2 and 5 within 5 minutes’ walk (direct line to Gangnam, to Hongik University from where many day tours leave, to the palaces; my morning transfer to Gimpo Airport took just one hour from the hotel by subway 5 to the airport gate!). Free tea, coffee,water, ramen, sbacks, cooking utensils available.
