Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
There was nobody there to let us in so we can’t comment on the guest house or facilities .Two local people
joined us in banging on doors and one rang the property owner who said his secretary should be there. After
about fifteen minutes of waiting in the hot sun, she appeared from a top floor room but by then we’d had enough and decided to go elsewhere. A disappointing experience all round.
Breakfast was excellent in an open airy location. The main restaurant was in a great location too. Pool and bar areas also top notch.
The gardens were exquisite with so much birdlife to spot.
Room and bed were nice size with top quality linens.
The beach was fantastic and very quiet.
Room OK. AC OK. Shower OK. Wifi good, better than OK. The stay was completely satisfactory. Accept for, read below
BUT. I was VERY disturbed and angry when I was demanded to give, IN WRITING, the three security numbers, on the back of my credit card, to be allowed to be checked in. I never give my security NUMBER TO ANYBODY. THAT IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. You should inform the Beverly's Guest House to stop this practice immediately.
The history of the place, the way the staff made everyone feel at home from the second we arrived, the attention to details, the breakfasts, the lunches on the beach (great idea) and the dinners, the cocktails with a caribbean kick, Halva's hot sauce, the way nothing was too much to ask for (did feel a bit spoilt), the almost empty beach each day with warm calm waters and above all, the one that keeps it all together, the hostess with the mostest, running like clockwork and making everyone from lord to pauper feel like they matter.
The Beverly guest house it's kind of located in a area that's quiet the scenery is nice looking at your window on the ground otherwise. The place is clean the housekeeper is very nice as well as the owner or manager he answered the phone when I called I wish I could have had a more comfortable bed and closet space everything else I had no problem with I thank you for having a place to lay my head and felt safe.
In terms of location, the guest house was a bit isolated and as there were no meals with the accommodation, guests may have difficulties in getting food, especially in the late evening.
Didn't like anything about it.
If pressed, I would say that it was in a relatively convenient location (in town and close to the ferry port!) and, although not cheap, it was a budget option on an expensive island!
And I would say it appeared to once have been a decent building in a lovely garden - but not for many years.
Great location on the beach.Local bands playing music some nights.Alsi a book swop.
