The Area:
The hotel is located in a very remote area, making it an ideal spot for a complete disconnect. However, reaching the hotel from the city costs around $12-15 USD by car. Tuk-tuks are not available here, so your only options for getting around are bicycles, motorbikes, or a car with a driver provided by the hotel.
Sihanoukville is not a typical tourist destination, so prices are much higher compared to Siem Reap or Phnom Penh. There are only two massage centers, which were difficult to locate, and most locals don’t speak English. Restaurants are scarce, and there are no English menus available.
The Hotel:
The property consists of attractive villas split into two separate areas about 500 meters apart. The pool villas are in the main area, while the garden villas are located outside. In the standard villa area, there’s no mobile network coverage, but the Wi-Fi works fine, albeit slow by European standards.
The mattresses are "Thai style." The overall environment is cozy and perfect for meditation. A peaceful, empty beach is just 10 minutes away, and there’s also a stunning temple nearby, one of the most serene I’ve ever visited.
Since there are no restaurants in the vicinity, the only dining option is the hotel menu, which offers six basic dishes, primarily rice or vegetables. I’d recommend the manager consider adding noodle or soup options to the menu.
The garden villas lack chaise lounge chairs, which makes it less comfortable to relax. I requested one, and they kindly provided it (thank you so much for that!), but I strongly encourage the owner to purchase some for all garden villas. Unfortunately, buying one yourself isn’t an option due to the non-touristic nature of the area.
Drinking water is always available.
The Beach:
The beach is completely empty, which is a plus, but it’s dirty and plagued with sandflies that are relentless in their attacks.
Set within 400 metres of Victory Beach and less than 1 km of Hawaii Beach, Paradise Cozy Guesthouse Sihanoukville features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Sihanoukville.

This is the perfect place for a rest or Gap day before getting into ferry or plane to somewhere else. After coming back from Koh Rong i needed another night to catch my flight next day. I rested here and had a great time. Private room for a good price, quite, very clean, big room and bathroom. Shower was nice AC worked perfectly. Staff was friendly and helped me. Also surprisingly good and fast WiFi. Location is very good, Grab tuktuk is only $1 to ferry and a couple minutes Ride. Cant complain about anything.

Overall, it’s a generic hotel room in a homestay, matching the vibe of the city—which is mostly generic buildings and architecture. It delivers what it promises at a great price. The real issue is the city itself, which isn’t very appealing. That said, the room is good and does its job well.

Great location and price. Very friendly. Clean room and bedding. Walk out to the main street, turn left and walk for about 100 yards. You will find a great place to eat, fresh, made to order and cheap. Not open for breakfast.

A really nice hidden Gem! Very relaxed and perfect place to let your soul rest. Shoutout to Matti for making me feel welcome from the very first second. The tents are not hot at all because they have a wooden roof so the sunlight doesn't go through.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
The prices at the bar are fair (expect 6$-8$ for a main, 3$ for a fresh fruit juice...) , which is good considering there's no other option nearby. Quality of food is also good. Cleaning of facilities is acceptable (considering this is an island). Communications are also easy, if you drop them a message via booking they get back to you quickly. WiFi works (at least for basic messaging apps)
Very nicely located on the beach. The bungalow was very nice (even though you have to be aware that it's quite open so you're right in nature with all its inhabitants ;) ). The prices in the restaurant are a bit heavy but you could refill your water for free anytime. They also offered free yoga classes every day. The beach is nice and quiet and if you ask them, you can get a garbage bag, collect the garbage on the beach and get a free drink in return! Great idea!
Very helpful manager, Flow, and staff friendly and laid back. Amazing location on a quiet bay on Koh Ta Kiev; the beach is almost exclusively for this resort, so it is not at all busy.
The rooms are simple and if you are happy with rustic, open air living species shared with local bats, lizards and insects, then this will suit you.
This is the most stripped back of the hostels on Koh ta Kiev but it’s definitely the one with the best vibe. It doesn’t rely solely on backpacking volunteers but employs Khmer staff who are all lovely. Food here is the cheapest on the island, drinks are cheap, great happy hour at 3 every day. Max is a really great host and looks out for everyone. You can stray out for a drink or a swim at the other places on the island but it always felt like home coming back to last point in the evening. We booked for 4 nights and ended up staying one week.
The most amazing hostel I’ve ever stayed in, and a fantastic experience to have. The staff are so warm and welcoming and the island is a beautiful paradise
