Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
The owner is very helpful, he let me use the scooter to go to the city center and did everything possible so I could get the cap I forgot back. Very good stay at the guesthouse !
It was like an oasis of beauty tucked away in a lush and quiet location when the rest of the city is not so appealing… we loved the treetop bar and restaurant and the bungalows were charming and nicely put together in a rustic but stylish way. Excellent value for money friendly super helpful staff.
Wonderful place - spacious, clean, in a quiet side road but close to the center of the town. The hosts are really welcoming and very helpful. They can arrange jungle trekking or other tours for you, bring you to some interesting places in the area and offer a delicious family dinner.
You can also rent a bicycle or a scooter. The whole family speaks really good English - it was a real pleasure staying there.
The room it's clean comfortable to stay it's nice to chill quiet place owner very friendly and kind very helpful and the room very cheap nice view just feel like home
Mr Smey was an exceptionally helpful host. The whole place was charming, with rustic bungalows and beautiful gardens. We had a good trip out staying overnight on a farm, extremely basic but fine for a night, including a boat trip and a trek.
Mr Smey's wife made delicious food. This is very very good value for money and I really recommend it.
Smey is a great host, the best local advice you can get is undoubtedly from him. He is also an obvious reference in his community and he tries his best to get you the best out of ratanakiri experience.
Super friendly family, excellent food shared with the family, super cheap accommodation.
After 7 months travelling, this is the first time a guesthouse is really a guesthouse.
