This is indeed a guesthouse. After 1 night in a place that was not great, I booked Guest House Crocus for the remainder of my stay. Though I did checkout a few days early.
- You get breakfast every day. You can choose the time (e.g. between 9am-11am). The variation in the breakfast was welcome, but I'd say that the regular oatmeal and rice-based "oatmeal" were nice. The rice one was new for me. I forget the other selections, but never had a problem with them. See my pictures.
- Chinara is a great host. I added her number on WhatsApp to be able to communicate message more easily. I do not speak Russian, so I appreciate the patience with Yandex and Google Translation.
- I was not rushed for payments, and paid after my first 3 nights. Then again after another three. I paid in cash.
- There are two convenience stores and a pharmacy just one block up, a 3 minute walk.
Getting to Chuy Avenue (best street) takes longer, and you may want to use YandexGo to get a ride.

WARNING! 90% of driver swerve around the most miniscule potholes, dips, air vents, and manholes in the road. Yet they drive fairly modern cars (albeit many have cracked windshields_. It makes no sense. It's annoying. They already drive impatiently and too quickly at times, and it's dangerous, with them coming within inches of bumping into pedestrians. For what reason? Because there's a 1-2 inch dip in the road. In short, the driving is bad.

My room seemed to have a draft or something, as it stayed colder than I expected. Good deal in the summer months, but you'll otherwise want to keep your warm socks on, and not lounge around in a t-shirt. It's possible to pay on-site to get some laundry done. I never opted for this. Since a family lives in the other part of the house, it's better to be back before 11 I guess. The front door didn't always cooperate with the key I had.

Very clean and comfortable, especially the beds! It has a private bathroom that has complete amenities. The building has a common kitchen and laundry area. Staff are very very kind. Their location is great cos it is near shopping centre. It’s really worth the price and exceeded my expectations. Thank you, Nomad Inn!!

The facilities were up to date and the staff was super friendly and helpful! Everything was clean, comfortable, safe, and secure. It was a total plus that they had their own brand of organic high- mountain honey on-hand for my coffee and tea. Top notch!

Dear Jaisel Homestay,
I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for such a wonderful stay at your guesthouse. From the moment I arrived, I felt like a part of your family. The warmth and hospitality that you provided were truly exceptional, and I cannot express my appreciation enough.
The room was clean and comfortable, and the facilities were great. The location was also perfect for exploring the city. However, what really made my stay memorable was the kindness and friendliness of the family members. They went above and beyond to make sure that I was comfortable and had everything I needed.
In short, I felt like I rented a whole family (in a good way)! I loved my stay at Jaisel Homestay and whenever possible, I will be staying there again. I highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone visiting Bishkek
Thank you again for such a wonderful stay and for making me feel so welcome.
Best regards,
Nuraiym Satyvaldieva
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
