Lulu stay is a most wonderful Inn in Wakkanai. I was lucky to stay there for one night at the start of my bicycle tour through Japan. The hosts are really nice and helpful, and the room very clean and nice. Hosts helped me with many things, and they really gave me a fantastic start to to my journey in Japan. Highly recommended.

Great location. The room is a bit dated but clean and comfortable. Hotels have 2 restaurants which are both good. (There're not much restaurants around within walking distance.)

The guest house is very clean and homey. The staff are super kind and have lots of information about the surrounding area - I also rented a bike which was nice and well-maintained. I highly recommend staying for the food, as everything I had was delicious - the chef is very talented!

The atmosphere of the house and the host; he is extremely friendly and helpful in navigating the area. Also fluent in English, so great for tourists who cannot speak Japanese. It's a traditional house stay with up to two other groups and has a common bath and toilets.

The hostel allows late check-in, which is very helpful, if you take the last train from Asahikawa at 20:06 and arrive to Wakkanai around midnight. You need to prepay your ballance via booking.com, then tell hotel operators abour your later arrival, and send copy of your passport to the provided email address, and they will send you self check-in instructions and codes. Strong wifi, complimentary tea at the reception, lockers with key, clean, very near railway station (~1 minute walking).

Friendly atmosphere, kind and knowledgeable hosts helped to advise on local points of interest. Accommodation was clean and quiet and well situated within the city. Got to try their home made venison curry with locally sourced ingredients. Felt incredibly welcome and well taken care of!

For a hostel/pension like this, the security system, doors, lockers, and safe were good. The staff were very polite, helpful and friendly (the northern hospitality at its best with constant happy smile), all of them. It’s right front of the train station, which is very convenient yet very quiet (since the station is the end of the line). Everywhere was immaculately clean.

A charming and beautiful guesthouse in Wakkanai, only 500m from the train/bus station. It was immaculate in presentation, style, as well as cleanliness. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, including helping out to get takeaway pizza and takoyaki by an adorable 80-year old - a local secret. The little sweet and card to welcome you in your room, and key chains made out of seashells were very lovely touches. The amenities were very well kept (albeit new), with lovely natural scented soaps in the bathroom.
