This is a quiet place in a great location with a wonderful host. Felt like a warm hospitable Ryokan. We loved the atmosphere, the hot tubs, and we enjoyed a delicious breakfast cooked by our host. We used this ryokan as a centre to explore the area. We have many fond memories of this stay.
Very good, affordable option in Unzen. The facilities are very clean, the room is traditional with futon and yukata, and the bath is nice. The pension does not have outdoor bath but there are many public baths just a few minutes away. The host is a very welcoming old lady, she prepares nice typical Japanese breakfast. Thank you! 😊🙏
TSUDOI guest houses is amazingly located with restaurants and amazing hikes all within walking distance. Ichi(the host/owner) is super friendly and helpful. I would 100 % recommend staying here if you want to go hiking, meet new people and be located close to everything in this small mountain village.
