I would definitely recommend this place.
Beautiful location. The renovated farm house was super clean and the bathroom facilities are very modern. Tatami rooms were spacious and we had a good nights sleep.
Heaters and AC throughout the house. Great space to BBQ outside. Owner is very helpful. Will come back any day!! Think this place will be magical in the winter.

The staff were very welcoming and kind. Dinner and breakfast were japanese style and so delicious. Well located right in front of the bus stop and a couple of minutes walk from the lake and the onsen source.

The staff were friendly and the place was clean but a bit worn in places. For the price there was nothing to grumble about. The bath is shared with everyone else and 1 person at a time (one for men and one for women). There is an onsen up the road at the base of the ski lift.
We didn't eat at the pension so I can't comment on the food.
We stayed in the autumn and the views in the woods were stunning.
We had a wonderful stay at this cozy pension. The woman and man who run the property are incredibly kind. We paid to have two dinners and one breakfast during our time, and all of our meals were delicious. The environment and scenery were peaceful and beautiful.
