The owner, Sato-san, welcomed me like a friend and we immediately walked the few meters to the sea to fish and catch sea shells. He then cooked the seafood, as only a master chef could, into a delicious supper. The building has been beautifully (and tastefully) renovated to find a balance between modern comfort and historic character. This guesthouse is just the beginning of a visionary project for the village.
