Plenty of hot water, a giant TV, and cosy futon beds. Tiny mini refrigerator, electric kettle, a microwave, and FamilyMart about 400m away. The self check-in is very convenient, but just be aware that rooms are in a two-story, older, nondescript apartment building in an area without many street lights. It's a perfectly safe, nice, quiet area, and it's obvious once you know where you're going, but I had some trouble actually finding the stairs/door when I arrived late in the evening. The host very kindly answered the phone when I called and made sure I knew where to go. The apartment is labeled as Arashima Inn on Google Maps and there's a big painted sign on the (dark) side of the building saying Arashima Guest House.
Just a 4-minute walk from Hinatahama Beach and 300 yards from Dolphin Island, 桃源郷2 features accommodations in Toba with a terrace.

Interesting atmosphere of an old Japanese house. It had spooky atmosphere, I was expecting some ghosts to come in the middle of the night to look if I have some sushi inside my bag. Or soul.

It's an authentic experience if you want to stay in a japanese temple. It's nothing luxurious but good enough.
Offering free bikes, Ise Guest House Sora provides accommodations in Ise. This recently renovated guest house is located 3.2 miles from Ise Grand Shrine and 2.6 miles from Oharai-machi.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
Quiet with a nice view. Have drinking water, snacks and welcoming cake in the room. Staff are polite and responsive. Have a gift shop, onsen, ice cream and milk vending machine. Also have mesh-mellow bbq at night with coffee and tea. The breakfast is also fantastic!
Specificity of the hotel is that meals have to be ordered in advance, at booking stage. Otherwise no meals (not even breakfast) are available.
It is an od japanese style Inn, you leave your shoes at the entrance and the home shoes at the entrance to your room.
Very convenient room of two parts: one with beds and the other of living room style equipped with a japanese table 20 cm high and sitting on the flour (tatami). All very nice !
The host drove us to the station nearby and offered onigiri for the trip. Extremely nice and kind.
We stayed in Kaigetsu for one night only but it's a very nice stay. The location is good (close to the train station). A old but beautiful Japanese style hotel. The host is very friendly and welcoming. We arrived early and was able to deposit our luggage first. After one day tour, our luggage was already in our room. Our room was clean and spacious. We enjoyed the hot spring and the breakfast also. Next day, the host even prepared lunch bags (お握り/onigiri) for us when we checked-out. So touching. Will come back if I visit Toba again.
The location is in a much quieter area of Japan and the coastline is very lovely. Visting the Ama women pearl diver's hut was so interesting. The hotel was right on the water and a great base for exploring.
Great location, very close to train station, Aquarium, Pearl Museum and restaurants, lovely host, good Onsen, fantastic breakfast (Japanese of course), Quiet and comfortable. Great stay.
Very friendly and helpful stuff, the room was exceptional with a beautiful view and one of the best private bathrooms I have ever stayed- truly relaxing. Close beautiful beach and a fishermen village. The hosts were friendly and picked us up from Toba station with a shuttle service but I can recommend a car to explore the beautiful surroundings and sea food restaurants. We will try to come again.
