Lovely accommodation run by a japanese couple. It is not a hotel but more like a B&B. You can have a spacy room and great breakfast just made for you. They don't speak that much english but everything can be solved because of their great friendliness :)
There are a few restaurant in walking distance but I think it's good to have a car that you can go to beach shops restaurants etc.
They have a nice private outdoor spa which you can book for yourself.
I definetly recommended this place.

Quite the adventure trying to find the pension after dark. Drive along dark, unpaved roads which included manual fences to keep the wildlife out. It was exciting and fun!

The breakfast was homemade each morning, from european style to real japanese style, always fresh and delicious. Ken Ken was so welcoming, even picked me up from the station because I had heavy luggage, and was so helpful during the whole stay. Perfect host!

A new and very clean hostel, with great facilities. My room had just 3 bunks in a large room so lots of space. Well appointed kitchen and an area to relax. Above all the staff were very friendly and helpful.
I stayed here with my son for a couple of nights and found the Hillside Inn Scirocco very charming. The Inn itself is very tidy and set in beautiful natural surroundings, which include a well tended garden and outdoor hot pool for exclusive use for guests. The sea view from the room was amazing and, along with the birdsong, lovely to wake up to. Breakfast was amazing, wholesome and freshly prepared every day. The owners are very kind although it probably helps to be able to speak Japanese. Overall, we had a great time!
Close to the station, perfect to get away from Tokyo for the weekend. It caters well to cyclists, and even though it’s a hostel there is plenty of common space to relax and make encounters. The staff was very friendly and they gave me nice dinner recommendations. In case you still can’t find anything, supermarkets are close by and you can cook something by yourself in the (very clean) common kitchen.
