What an absolutely lovely place!
The hostel is super modern and super clean! Check in is easy and the host is friendly and welcoming.
The room was cosy and the beds were comfortable. The hostel provided everything we needed, from water to pajamas, towels and even ear plugs.
We were totally soaked from the rain, and most of our clothes were sweaty from hiking Kumano Kodo. But we could don the pajamas and throw everything into the washer/dryer. So convenient!
The facilities were spotless, the shamoo and conditioner smelled lovely and there was even skin care in the washroom.
I would definitely stay here again, hopefully a bit longer than just one night.

1. There's a kitchen but without basic utensils, such as plate.
2. Nearby bakery and fruit stall run by friendly old people, though I don't speak Japanese.

Everything was perfect! They are great people, very kind and thoughtful and are going to try and help you anyway they can. There is private onsen that you can use. Shower rooms and toilets as well as everything else was kept perfectly clean. Room was great. Location is great, only a few minutes away (if you are walking) from train station and bus for Nachi falls. I would highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Nachikatsuura!

Host was very friendly and helpful.
Location was near Hongu Taisha and convenient with restaurants around. Near bus station.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Its realy wonderful experience, the room, service and location is soooooo nice! There is cooker, you can cook for yourself, and you can get free water. beer, even local alcohol as well as! The bus station is very close, some restaurants and a familymark around, 香梅堂 is not far, you can get to 2 Shirins by walk. I recommend this hotel so much!!!!! Oh,the host gave local snacks and drink to my daughter as gift when we leave since the weather is really hot
New guesthouse and everything is new. Host has created a good and relatively comfy place to stay and hang and mingle. Bedrooms are clean and very spacious. Host is friendly and wish her well and good running of her guesthouse. There's a great sports apparel shop and an award winning bento set supermarket nearby. House slippers are provided as well as basic toiletry, kitchenette except toothbrush. Big balcony to dry clothes out but no provision of washing machine.
I loved it and felt so welcomed. There is only a small number of rooms which makes it really quiet and relaxed. I always had the shared facilities to my self and the facilities were all really clean and the room was very spacious, light and bright. The host was super nice as well and made me feel right at home. Can recommend!
this guesthouse is located in a very quiet community and close to a convenient store.
it’s well-equipped, and everything there is well-maintained. thanks for the snack!
It is a really small pension, only 3 rooms. We had a room on the 1st floor, just in front of the door and has almost all of the walls made of glass which made us uncomfortable at first but than we just felt like on a visit in a typical Japanese house so it turned out to be kind of fun. We loved the location, and generally quiet and peaceful vibe of the neighborhood. We felt comfortable with self-check in, we haven't seen the owners once but it was no problem at all - in case of any problems, we communicated via booking.com.
Great value and great location. It's an easy walk from the train and bus station, and very easy to find. The room was really comfortable and incredibly spacious for one person. I also had use of the kitchen which was really handy as it saved on eating out, which can be a bit of a drag when you're on your own. The shared bathroom was immaculately clean and there were plenty of towels. The lady was very helpful when I arrived. She even provided me with earplugs because I asked for a quiet room :).
