This place is gorgeous. We arrived in the dark after a long hike to get there and woke up to the best views of the river, right from our room! Ken san was the most friendly host we had in Japan and served us two beautiful meals that were a great balance of being Japanese but Western friendly. The room was traditional Japanese with futons etc which was fun for us because we hadn’t done that before. Futons were plenty comfortable.

Owners are really nice! They always offered tea when we came back, and offered to pick us up from the nearby train station. The room is very comfortable and cozy. I highly recommend them! :)

Host helped us get to the guest house easily, and was friendly and helpful. We had other great guests sharing the house while we stayed, it was fun getting to know them.
We chose this location because it was a short distance to Mt. Takao, which we hiked a few days.

It felt like I was living in Japan - you get to see how things work in what is nearly a household.
The location itself isn't too bad either, plenty of convenience and grocery stores nearby. You don't have to walk far to get drinks from a vending machine.
The place is next to this long river and it's just really nice to take a walk around. You can look up and see the whole sky, and it looks a lot more different at night.
The people there are very kind as well. They'll answer your questions and provide what else you might need if they can. One of them might even offer to show you around and tell you how things work.
This was my first time visiting Japan, so I think this was a great start to getting to know the country better. Much more affordable than a hotel too. And you still get some of the privacy.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
The host of this property was really sweet and very kind. The house was beautiful and clean with all the amenities. There is a small deck outside the room from where you get a beautiful view of the hills. loved it!
The hosts were extremely friendly and very helpful. Very family friendly and felt like being in their home which was lovely. Would strongly recommend it to others & make sure you walk back down the hill as it was a beautiful walk.
Excellent location not far from the Ome train station. There is a tourist information close to the station which provided a map of Ome and marked the guest house. The owner only communicated in Japanese, a bit difficult when you have none.
While still secure, no key is required and the guest can enter by themselves. Sleeping is on a traditional mat on the floor. My room was upstairs, a bit tricky with narrow stairs and a suitcase.
The guesthouse was well-located near the station and was nicely decorated with antiques and wooden decor. The host was friendly and welcoming and overall my stay was comfortable.
This property was surrounded by breathtaking nature and the sounds of the rushing river below. It was so peaceful, the air and water were very refreshing and clean. The traditional Japanese style room and breakfast was a great experience but above all, the hosts were the best.
They were super friendly and accommodating from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. We travelled with a baby and they helped us in many ways that I am so grateful for! We also loved their very friendly cats.
The only regret is that we didn’t stay longer!
The hosts are a very lovely elderly couple who hosted us with great warmth and hospitality. We felt so at home, even though if we communicated via the Google Translator (this is totally viable)! The room is very cozy and has a magnificent view on the Tama River down below. We definitely recommend to take the breakfast option: it is a traditional Japanese breakfast prepared by the hosts, it was very delicious. They have two cute cats, which visit while you eat. We regret staying only for two days!
loved everything about my stay! the location is so peaceful, the room and facilities are comfy and clean. the food is so yummy and the host is so nice and caring. would definitely recommend it!
