This was an excellent value. The host is very accommodating, and the room and facilities are very well appointed. The location is excellent. Kanazawa is a lovely town and well worth visiting. My group of four adults really enjoyed our time at Guest House Ui-ca. The house is adorable and we enjoyed experiencing a day in the life of traditional Japanese housing. Yumiko was a wonderful host. She responded quickly to messages and we knew she was nearby in case anything came up during our stay.

This guesthouse has hostel vibes (which I consider to be a good thing), yet our room was elegant, the outside terrace/balkony inviting, and the bathroom splendid and very new.
The common area was clean and inviting, and the use of the kitchen area great.
Even if you do not care about the "common parts", it is still a great room for a reasonable price.
