Beautiful, clean, and spacious rooms with great views of the mountains. Excellent breakfast and really kind owner. You can tell he puts a lot of care into running this place, down to the organic cotton guest pajamas and manga selection. Natural onsen was lovely as well.

The place is very cozy and clean, the food is very delicious and there is a lot of variety of dishes in each emeal. The cost is also very affordable. The staff are very accommodating and nice. This place is highly recommended for those who wanted to relax and enjoy the winter.They have a shuttle bus coming from the train station. And have onsite free parking. Will definitely come again.

We chose Futago Cabin for the proximity to some ski resorts we wanted to visit in this New Year Holiday and we are SO happy we chose this wonderful place. The staff was fantastic, extremely kind and helpful, the price we paid was unbeatable, the view from anywhere was breathtaking and it felt like being in a real cabin in the mountains.
The kitchen was equipped with everything one needs for a holiday to prepare meals, guests can use the refrigerator to put food and drinks inside, and there are supermarkets (Harimaya or Nattus) quite close to the hotel which sell ready to eat meals, and that's what we did for the 4 nights 5 days we spent there. Coffee and tea are provided free of charge, one just can make them by using the hot water electric kettle in the dining room.
The mattresses in our room were VERY comfortable and even though it is an older building, we didn't hear other guests talking in their rooms from our room, it was always nice and quiet.
Fuel for the room heater costs 600 yen per day, one has just to bring the tank down and the friendly owner will fill it up immediately. Our room was always nice and warm. The bathroom is clean and it was located quite close to the room, separated for men and ladies.
We were VERY happy to have found Futago Cabin, and we are going back on March :)

Li was a very friendly host. She took time to welcome us and explain everything about the property. The place was extremely comfortable (all new) and made us feel at home immediately. We recommend staying and would enjoy to come back.
The location is great to take a walk by the river and go skiing in winter.
The location was excellent. You can literally ski to the door and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, although no one speaks English which made it a little bit challenging. While this is an old property it is incredibly well-maintained and has its own ski rental facility which I suggest strongly people use as it’s much cheaper than most others I found and the equipment is excellent. The restaurant serves traditional Japanese food which is plentiful and tasty . I would gladly stay here again.
Host made it an excellent experience- from taking us from the station, stopping by grocery store to making sure we have everything that we need for the skiing, even when one of the resorts was closed due to strong winds
Was a great location for my snow trip. Very easy to get to ski lifts and snow gear rental. The staff were all very polite and accommodating. Vegetarian curry option for dinner was delicious. Privet bath option available with pre booking. Very much enjoyed my stay.
Front hotel is stairs need carry luggage to first floor then will have lift. Every floor got microwave and water filter. Next building hot bath is very good, second floor got provide voucher to get the cheap price.
The accomodation serves breakfast and dinner, which is quite major point. The hotel is located in the middle of the slope, perfect for those who wanted to jump into ski straightaway.
The host and staff was very very friendly and I appreciate their mochi making event held during one on the night.
