Raicho Onsen Inn is amazing. I will come back if I can for sure. The staff is lovely. The private onsens are amazing. We went on a snowshoe tour and it was seriously the best thing we have done in Japan. There is a communal kitchen, which was really great, and spaces to relax and work. I wish we could have stayed longer!

A true Japanese experience. Great support from host.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
We loved the traditional Japanese house which is in fact a shared living room, shotaro is the best host and such a nice guy. We recommend all to be guest at this cozy and truly full of love guesthouse.
Our stay at the Northstart Loft was very comfortable. It had all the necessary amenities required for a relaxing stay. Spencer is a great host and provided excellent customer service.
An authentic Japanese experience. Great breakfast can be ordered. A small Onsen in the property. A quiet location with a Konbini and restaurants nearby. The Inn is in the suburbs far from the city centre but there is a bus stop on the main road with attached timetable so it is easy to get into the station area. Very friendly and obliging Host and Hostess but be aware no English is spoken so a little Japanese language knowledge goes a long way.
Such a nice place, we really wish we could have stayed longer! The host had thought of so many things to make our stay comfortable, from the facilities they provided to the friendly notes explaining everything - especially important for those of different cultures like us! Great location and quiet - a dream. :)
The hostel is in a great location and so quiet. The staff are really helpful, but best of all you could feel the history of the place. We are a family of four (two boys aged 13 & 11) and all thought it was the best hostel we’ve stayed at - friendlier, more fun and better than many hotels. Would stay there happily again.
Amazing hostel housed in building with a very traditional look, at a great location near the city centre. Bed was spacious and very comfy, toilets and bathrooms were always available and clean. Staff was very kind and helpful to point to good restaurants, bathhouses and things to see in the area. I also loved being able to take a bike to explore the area.
