While pretty remote it was very easy to access by public transports (only a 40 minutes bus ride from Datemombetsu station), the place itself is beautiful, and most importantly Yamada-san is probably the most helpful and attentive person I've met in Japan, she made us delicious ramen and helped us book a hotel !

Sweetest, kindest Jinno-san that took us in. We came in late at 6pm in winter so she even offered to cook and whip up dinner for us for extra charge as there wasn't much around to get dinner. So ensure you get your meals first before heading in.
She felt like a family member when we left. Best accommodation and best morning scenery of the lake and snow all around.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Spacious place, good cooking amenities, 2 bathrooms were good. Host was very responsive to my questions. Quiet at night, felt very local. Good for big groups. Didn’t use the bbq but thought it would be cool to bbq with the bbq grill provided
Spectacular view out the windows
Big room, new, nicely designed, clean, quiet and tidy
Nice common room, free coffee
Free message chair provided on upper floor
Small boutique hotel
plenty of parking
Keiko-san, the host, really made the place. Very hospitable and kind. Although it is not next to the lake, the town is small and everything is in walking distance. Especially the bus depot which is particularly handy when there for the ski season. Plenty of onsens to rejuvenate tired legs for such a quiet town too. A very social hostel with a cozy communal space to mingle with other travellers. Always warm and clean.
Very authentic and genuine guesthouse stay. The host is very nice and friendly and made us a different delicious breakfast every day. The house is located in a really quiet location, with a view to the lake. Super comfortable stay, highly recomended.
Great view and such a cute comfortable little cabin. It was so clean and well maintained. The hosts were incredibly kind for us and went over and above to help us when one of my kids was sick. They are angels. It’s a secluded little spot for some peace and quiet. Seeing the sunrise over the lake with the white capped mountains was a definite highlight of our trip
Was a nice quiet hostel by Lake Toya and only a minute walk to the village and lakefront. I went when it was quiet in the town so I had a whole room to myself. There’s also a restaurant on the bottom floor which is open until late and the staff are very friendly had a nice long conversation with them and felt very welcomed! Good facilities too: shower, bath, fridge and sauna!
It was a great location in the Lake Toya area. Good for a quiet stay and good for those who are driving. The facilities available within the unit was great and the family enjoyed the stay.
Situated in the countryside, very quiet, beautiful surroundings. Housing is big and confortable. View on the lake is magnificent.
Host is a charming lady, very welcoming and generous who spoiled us with delicious treats cookies and even an unexpected tasty soup for dinner !
Made a lot of efforts to speak English to compensate my poor Japanese and made us feel like at home !
Thank you again
