Hosts Stan and Hiromi were very welcoming and friendly. It felt like staying at the home of a friend of a friend. 民泊カフェ Gootarian, hotel in Kumamoto

Offering inner courtyard views, 民泊カフェ Gootarian is an accommodation set in Kumamoto, 2.4 km from Suizenji Park and 5.5 km from Kumamoto Castle. There is an on-site restaurant and free private parking....

The hosts were so wonderful and we were looked after incredibly well. We had a great night at the bar talking with the hosts about music and art. They recommended and organised a reservation at a new yakitori restaurant, which was brilliant. ( also conveyed to the owner my food allergies). It felt like a home away from home. Unique decor which we love, very wabi sabi. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. The warmth of the hosts made it exceptional in my book.

Lovely stay in Kumamoto! Near a tram stop, easily walkable into the city center and to the train station. Room was small but fit all my luggage without issue. Hostel generally was clean and quiet, and the common room was great to sit in for a while in the evenings. The wifi connection was strong throughout the building.

The hosts were exceptionally kind. I mentioned I planned on hiking near Mt Aso and they prepared a lunch for me two days in a row. They upgraded my room as I was the only person staying there, drove me to the store and the station when I didn't have a car, and did everything to make me feel welcome. The location was incredible and quiet, with stunning views of Kumamoto and a beautiful guesthouse. I can't thank them enough for their kindness!
