Everything was perfect. The hosts are so kind. We had the chance to participate to a self-defense and boxing training with a team. We also enjoyed the bar at night. (Both are not held every day, we were lucky) It was chill and we could meet local people. Overall we had great chats. We hope to see them again.

Brilliant! A lovely, beautifully decorated and extremely comfy hostel in Kumamoto (a little away from the centre, but a fairly short walk from multiple train stations). Lots of space, both in the rooms and in the common areas. You could really relax and enjoy a home away from home. Incredibly kind, friendly and helpful host, too. I wish every hostel/guesthouse were as amazing as this one!

Very spacious house with well equipped kitchen in a quiet setting. Perfect place to stay for a couple of nights if you want to explore the Aso region.

Lovely stay in Kumamoto! Near a tram stop, easily walkable into the city center and to the train station. Room was small but fit all my luggage without issue. Hostel generally was clean and quiet, and the common room was great to sit in for a while in the evenings. The wifi connection was strong throughout the building.
The hosts were exceptionally kind. I mentioned I planned on hiking near Mt Aso and they prepared a lunch for me two days in a row. They upgraded my room as I was the only person staying there, drove me to the store and the station when I didn't have a car, and did everything to make me feel welcome. The location was incredible and quiet, with stunning views of Kumamoto and a beautiful guesthouse. I can't thank them enough for their kindness!
