The owner is nice. He only speaks Japanese but we understood him and can speak easy Japanese so we were fine but if you want anything and don't speak Japanese you may need to use google translate. The hotel is only about a 10min walk from the station and there's a Convenience store Seicomart nearby and also a drugstore near the station. Its a quick walk into the centre of town. The owner will drive you to the ski resort every morning. He will take your room rubbish bin out each day. You get yukata in your room. Bathrooms are downstairs separate for men and woman. It’s a shower room with a bath. Spa Bath is always filled and covered so like Onsen you wash then go in the bath. You use it privately and lock the door. Toilets are shared in hallway and sinks are also in the hallway. There is a ski/board room downstairs and you keep your boots in your room in trays. The town is not too busy and you can walk around and find restaurants easily.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
Self check in is smooth. Host communicates in Japanese, but it’s totally fine using translator. The house is spacious, but a bit messy overall. Futon is comfortable. Good value for the price (probably the cheapest stay in our trip). Only stayed for one night so we have nothing much to comment.
Very friendly owner, was everything we needed. Super clean and spacious. Great location for all the mountains around. Would highly recommended staying here
Very attentive host. Showed us around the flat when we arrived. Great location. If you're a group of friends skiing in the area it's close to the mountains.
Location was central to ski areas near Daisetsuzan Mts.
The house was comfortable and homely.
The host was exceptionally helpful in answering our queries.
Host was great! She was very helpful and very approachable. The location was in the Center of many attractions. The whole pension cost and comfortable. Easily accessible! Will be back!
