Staff very helpful and Uno spoke English and walked with us to the mini Mart and helped us with getting icoco card.

The house is a contemporary renovated town house, it is actually more spacious than the pictures shown and the lighter is much softer and warmth, there is a small backyard with a tiny pond in the middle, the 2nd floor have some interested hollow floor design with a foot bridge connecting the bedroom so you can see the first floor from the 2nd floor, the art collection such as some wall painting and slide door as well as the teapot collection is quite classy as well

From the very first day, the host family was an absolute blessing. Both owners are incredibly kind, speak English very well and welcomed me into their home with open arms.
In addition to the formidable hospitality, my room was spacious, clean and equipped with all ammenities I could have possibly asked for - including air-conditioning, Wi-Fi and more. My favorite aspect however was the laundry service & the very delicious and traditional Japanese breakfast.

Mama and Papa were incredible and the stay with them was a highlight of our trip!
The guesthouse is in a lovely residential location and is easily accessible from the city, either via train or bus.
We had the private room, with lovely views onto the gardens and the toilets and showers were all easily accessible.

I really loved this Guesthouse and if I ever make it back to Kyoto, I would stay here in a heartbeat. The owner was warm and kind and friendly, I liked him tremendously. The building is old and beautiful and the location was, I thought, perfect. It is a few stops up from the chaotic center of the city, and I loved that it was in a quieter part of town. The guesthouse is exceptionally good value.

The staff were so friendly, the rooms were comfortable and bathrooms pretty spacious compared to what else I’ve seen in Japan. Felt homey and the common area downstairs was lovely with complimentary coffee, tea, hot water, microwave and sink, cups and fridge. The location was excellent and only had one set of stairs for my room. Short walk to the nearest bus or train station but several nearby, very close to shopping and eating area open til late, but not noisy when trying to sleep.

Cleanliness and hospitality. It's a minimalistic dorm with all basic facilities. 7 eleven, Lawsons and an Indian restaurant was nearby. The power supply has been provided on the corner of each bed- 1 USB port, 1 c-type port and 2 Japanese power slots. Bathrooms and toilets are maintained clean. Laundry facility with just 300 yen. Microwave oven, electric stove and fridge facilities are provided too. Great place to stay.
