Traveler's Wharf Shichigahama, hotel in Ishinomaki

Set 10 km from Shiogama Shrine, Traveler's Wharf Shichigahama offers accommodation with a balcony, as well as a garden and a bar. Private parking is available on site.

Our host was in communication 24/7 (we had a flat tire coming in and were running late, and Taka kept in touch to make sure we made it in safe and sound). Cozy, private room, access to a hot bath, we had a great stay for one night!

The facilities were wonderful, the host was exceptionally helpful and friendly (he even drove us to the ferry terminal and picked us up), and there was a cat lounge in the building adjacent full of very cute cats that we could visit. There was a great Japanese-style bath and even a massage chair in our room which we all enjoyed :)

I really enjoyed the quiet and laid back atmosphere of the guesthouse in December. Had the whole place to myself basically since it was a low season for tourism. All basic amenities were provided and everything was very clean.

Ryodai was a great host with a lot of cool things to share about his home town Ishinomaki. The hostel had a very cozy vibe and lots of space in the common area, so I felt right at home. There is a guitar there too which was a bonus for me!

I like the place but it was a little bit strange; it is an old building that has been reformed in order to make it a guest house; unusual but ok.

I booked the hostel because of the good pricing. I was surprised by the nice common room and well equipped kitchen. The common room invited to chat with others and the owner Ryodai was very accommodating. In the hostel a lot of activities are offered so I would recommend to check them out.
