Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
We loved our stay! Tanonagano Yadokko is in a beautiful, peaceful location in the rice fields with views of the Hakkōda mountains in the distance. Our host Shun Takahashi was incredible - very friendly, informative and accommodating. He is also an amazing cook - the dinner and breakfast were both home cooked and delicious. The Japanese style room was great. We were also given free tickets to the local onsen, which was a nice treat. We would definitely love to stay again!
Small guest house located in the rice fields less than 1h away from Aomori city. Totally recommend for rental car road trips, as shops and restaurants are a 10 minutes drive away.
The place is exquisite, recently renewed and has all the basic comforts.
As it also serves as a café for locals during the day, coffee and breakfast were particularly delicious for that price.
The owner is a kind, interesting and friendly person, who personally took care of my stay.
I'm looking forward to visiting again!

1
It starts with a booking
It starts with a booking

2
Followed by a trip
Followed by a trip
When guests stay at the property, they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff is, and more.

And finally, a review
