The owners were very nice and kind with us. They pick us up at the station and bring back. He helped us with the train as well. The food (homemade) was fantastic as per the breakfast.

Above and beyond any expectations we had: if you want to travelling on a budget but still want to stay in the beautiful Koyasan, Hachi Hachi is the place for you. We have been travelling through Japan for few weeks now, and this has been the best night of sleep I had on a Ryokan Japanese bed style. Great location in a tastefully renovated historic house in an old precinct of Gojo. The loft style apartment has a beautiful panoramic view to the Kii Mountains. We loved the contemporary facilities
and comfortable beds. Our three night visit allowed us to have easy day trips by car to Koyasan, Yoshinoyama, and Matarai valley/ Dorogawa. Our host was so friendly and helpful and gave us lots of great tips. Very happy to recommend and would certainly stay again.

one of the best experiences you can have when traveling japan, especially if you plan visiting Nora and would like to get to know the countryside. run by an amazing and warm-hearted couple. you can feel their heart and love for details/authenticity. I strongly recommend to order the japanese dinner and breakfast. after a long flight, I had the best sleep since a long time. hope I come back some day with by gf (thanks again for the gift!) and/or brother/sister.

Just excellent value for money and overall a great experience with a welcoming, friendly, professional and knowledgeable host. Breakfast was included in my room and was first rate with a fried egg, ham, toast, raisin toast, a watermelon slice and blueberries in yoghurt with coffee. With fresh cold water on the side in a lovely, clean, peaceful atmosphere.
