The view from the Fuji-view room was amazing. Location was ok, in a very calm area, about 15mins walk through rice-fields and a residential area from restaurants. The room was great, super clean and beautiful, and the sauna-jaccuzi and onsen were so great to relax in. The host was such a nice guy, and sang for us at night, beautiful japanese songs. It was moving and a very authentic japanese cultural experience. The host makes huge efforts on every level to make your stay a nice one. I have a great memory from this calm and relaxing place, it was an oasis of tranquility and comfort during a busy and exciting trip to japan. Will go back for sure, even if its just to relax and look at Mt Fuji again.

The couple that own the place are the sweetest! We went for both lunch and dinner with them, going to an amazing noodle restaurant as well as a cool sushi train place. We loved this stay as it was a true Japanese experience, even though the weather wasn't as good as we hoped it would be. Also, make sure you rent the electric bikes as they are amazing!! Thanks for having us.

Amazing location, just a couple of minutes north of the bus stop. It was extremely clean, and set up well if you plan on heading up Mt. Fuji (which we didn't do). The lake is walkable, the area is very quiet, and the staff are super helpful as well. The room which we stayed in was a good size, and sleeping on the tatami mats with futons was a cool experience. We also had additional storage in the form of a closet. Bathrooms/showers are clean and plentiful and the overall atmosphere is very welcoming.

We loved our stay here. The host was awesome and the guesthouse is in an excellent location. So close to the train station!
The beds were Japanese style which are firmer than an Australian is used to but they were quite a bit softer than the mattress here at my next hotel, which is very upmarket and much more expensive. A bonus was the beautiful toiletries and hairdryer, which I didn’t expect to be available. And of course the surprise lite breakfast of toast and coffee. A great insite into home life in Japan.
Thankyou Wafu 😃

One night very good experience. The couple of host are kind. Room is not big but everything very clean. We slept tightly because the tatami bed and quit are comfortble. And it was very quiet.
A surprise beautiful view the second morning just out of the inn. Near the lake and mountain view.
It's really great value for the price!
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
A huge studio apartment which is rare to find in japan! Being able to see Mt fuji at the end of the street is mesmerising. Great location in a quiet spot where you can easily walk or cycle to main parts of the area! The hosts were incredibly welcoming and attention to detail orientated. They easily put two beds together so we could have a queen bed!
Lovely guesthouse run by a small family in a quiet street of Fujikawaguchiko. The host is very hospitable and although he speaks little english, he is good with technology and will help you out wherever he can. He prepared a welcome snack and drink when you check in. The tatami room is clean and spacious and if you are lucky, comes with a view of Mt Fuji. The bathroom is traditional and has a bath which is prepared for you every night. The location is around 20min walk from the main train station and is close to local shops.
The hostel is in a great location, in a quiet and beautiful area, a few minutes' walk from the lake, cafe and grocery store. The room is clean and well equipped, although the toilet was the smallest I have ever encountered. Perfect for a few days stay.
Masaya was a great host. He picked me up with his cool jeep and helped with my luggage. The vibe in the guesthouse is also cool and warm. Everything was well explained to me so I would not get lost or confused. If i had a chance, i would have stayed longer.
Most friendly and helpful owner ever, so lovely and great impression of hostel.Close proximity to city center. The room was clean and quiet, with an excellent shower. Plenty of cooking equipment, so perfect for family!
The host was very warm and welcoming. He picked us up by car from the station. The house is very charming, quiet and offers beautiful views of Mount Fuji. The host lent us bicycles so we could explore the area and walk around the lake. It was a very pleasant stay!
Yoshi-san and his family are great hosts.
They were very accommodating and helped whenever I asked.
The property is also fantastic. About 1km walk from the bus stop. The views of Mt Fuji from the hotel driveway were amazing. The hotel is also about a 5 min walk to the red line tour bus route which is great.
The room was comfortable, spacious, quiet and the onsen was lovely.
The hostel is situated in a quiet zone far from the most crowded touristic area, but easily reachable from the station of Kawaguchiko by feet.
The structure is very nice with big rooms and a very cool common area.
The staff is a 10/10. The guy was working there was so polite and nice with me. At the last day he also offered me to give me a ride to the station late in the night to take my bus!
(They offer a cheap bike rental service too!)
amazing property with a very very cute living room, kitchen & room. a small but boutique guesthouse. The host and her family are so welcoming and helpful. they made us feel like home away from home.
