The host was very friendly and explained everything to us and made sure we feel comfortable! The room was also very spacious, especially compared to other places in Japan that we stayed in. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom and toilet were nice!

This is a comfortable room in a home. I like the cleanliness and that the room smells good. There is also a free towel, toothbrush, toiletries, and bread for breakfast. There is also free coffee that you can make by yourself with their coffee machine.

Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Very wonderful gueststay in the centre of Arita Heritage Village. Hanneke is a wonderful host that makes you feel at home instantly. Highly recommend this relaxing guesthouse and stay in Arita.
Hanneke is a very kind Dutch lady who runs this beautiful guesthouse by herself. All of the rooms look amazing, and it is quite spacious. The location is in the middle of the ceramics street in Arita.
This hotel is a typical Japanese style accommodation. It is very comfortable having a lounge and kitchen where you can sit western style but still is typically Japanese. It also looked onto a quaint little garden. It is in the middle of the porcelain street in Arita if that is what you are going there for. The owner is very helpful and speaks English if required. Some nice little temples and porcelain museums around. Short taxi ride from the station or quite a long walk. A nice quiet place to stay.
Ideal in every sense - there is nothing remotely comparable in Arita. On every level, an ideal location to stay. If you are interested in ceramics, well, welcome to heaven on earth. Absolutely brilliant. The price might seem a bit high but you get what you pay for - in this case, a five star boutique experience that is unmatched in this part of Kyushu. The perfect host, the perfect space.
Takeshi was a great host. The property was spacious, had plenty of character and had everything we could have wanted. Was amazed at the attention to detail. Thanks Takeshi
the homeliness of the guesthouse and its friendly hostess! definitely value for money and the hospitality, ambience and comfort was better than expected!
the guesthouse was cozy and oozed the creativity of the hostess who also went out of her way to drop us at supermarket when restaurants around us had closed, and even dropped us at the station on her way to work. these were not part of the service, so we really appreciated the gestures which made our stay so much more memorable!
The guesthouse was beautifully decorated and we felt like we had a truly Japanese stay. Arita is a gentle and calm place that the guesthouse reflected. Everything worked well. We were greeted by the lovely host on arrival and felt very welcomed.
Beautiful guesthouse with many interesting details, the Japanese suite which I stayed in was particularly beautiful & spacious. The host, Hanneke, was super friendly and the whole town seems to be fond of her so staying at Keramiek made for easily navigating the local area. Highly recommend!
