If you are looking for a family run guest house with great value, you have found it here. Our host, Faesal, owns a guest house in the Bedoun Village of Uum Seyhoun, a 5 minute drive from Wadi Musa. He and the other families in this village were early inhabitants of the Petra area. The guesthouse has comfy beds and a charming communal space out front to relax and have breakfast and/or dinner. His wife cooked a delicious meal for our dinner when we arrived late and hungry. He was most kind in giving us suggestions on how best to see Petra the next day. He set up transportation to and from the site so that we could leave our car at the guest house for the day. Overall, it's a great value (our breakfast was included) and very convenient to Petra. We also enjoyed staying in the small local town rather than in a hotel right outside Petra, which was nice but much more touristy. We would stay there again if and when we return.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
Yes, you're literally staying in a cave. Great experience if wanting to try something new. Rooms were quite spacious. Cool, and beds provided were of good standard. Our host (lovely Kenyan man) was attentive to all our requests. Had the whole hotel to ourselves due to the booking being in off season. Price wise it was pretty good too. Cannot complain there. Close to a castle ruin, and some lovely locals next door.
Loved the service! Thank you to Alex he was AWESOME and made my time all the better. The room is adorable and I slept very nicely. Dinner and breakfast was also awesome. Location is quiet and quaint, a nice place for the soul to recover
Great location, with stunning view to Shobak castle. Rock room was magical, nicely docorated with great attention to details. Hosts are the nicest humans we ever met. Would recommend and return.
Miqdad was a great host, food was great, rooms were comfy and really extraordinary. Awesome experience sleeping in the caves. The location is also nice in a quiet part of town, right beneath a medieval castle, called Montreal. Would recommend.
