Patrizia and Simone went out of their way to create a very special experience for us. We only had one night with them after a long drive. At my request they created a gourmet dinner to save us going out again to a restaurant. Their dining room Was beautifully decorated esp for us and has spectacular views. Their chef Roberto is a genius and each delicious course was served with a delightful local wine. We were also able to begin and finish the evening in their lovely hot tub looking out across the sea and hills.

If you are a nature lover this is a place not to miss as it offers not only forest covered hills but also beautiful beaches at a short driving distance. If you are lucky, you will see foxes and squirls , and you can enjoy you breakfast near the current that passes next to the house. The room is simple, but cozy and clean, and Gianluca is the perfect host who makes you feel at home immediately. We had a good time.

This is one of the most beautifully appointed little apartments I’ve ever seen, in a spectacular setting. Julie was wonderfully welcoming, as was everyone we met in Barga. What a gem this place is! I especially love how it blends the old and new.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
The house itself is very nice. It is big with enough amenities for many people. The garden is beautiful and the river beside the house is gorgeous. The location is very interesting since it is in a quite un-touristed spot in the Apuan Mountains. It is possible to get around with busses and walking but I would very highly recommend coming with a car. Plenty of things to do close to the house.
The host is incredibly nice.
Out of the 7 places we stayed during our road trip through Tuscany this was our faveroute stay. The rooms are simple yet modern and clean. The owners are nice. De breakfast area was cute, vegan friendly options. Parking was easy if you don’t arrive late at night. The location was special; sleeping in the mountains and between the locals, very quiet at night, a unique Italian experience.
Our family recently stayed at a charming cottage in the mountains, and it was an incredible experience. The cottage was cozy and full of character. The view of the mountains from the terrace was breathtaking, making every morning a delight. The interior was comfortable and well-equipped, with a lovely fireplace that added to the warm atmosphere. The host was very friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable.
Overall, this cottage is a perfect getaway for anyone looking for a peaceful and scenic retreat. Highly recommended!!!
A very comfortable stay, our room was lovely in this beautifully renovated property decorated with lovely artwork nestled in the mountains. The whole place was incredibly clean and tidy throughout. Our hosts were very hospitable and welcoming and there were homemade local crepes and cakes for breakfast in the morning.
Incredible mountain view, the host made us feel really welcome, the town where the house is located is just magical! Lots to explore and relax. Great cozy and family run business around. We would definitely go back and would recommend to everyone who wants to be close to nature and enjoy Tuscany!
Fantastic facilities in this gorgeous home from home. Gemma, the owner, lives next door in case of issues and nothing was too much trouble. Chiara was also brilliant and helpful, as was the translator! Outstanding views in a lovely, quiet location. We will definitely come back.
Excelent accommodation in great location. Owners prepare homemade cakes for breakfast. The absolute top was the homemade dinner with local product selection. The village is in the middle of the mountains. It's a great start point to treks. You can choose between sea or mountains.
Everything is perfect!! Very beautiful place, owners are very kind. I recommend this if you want a quiet rest.
