I’ve stayed here before, the location is really convenient as I’m buying a house in a nearby town and the city of Sulmona is also close by, for greater choice of shops, restaurants etc. Coffee/Breakfast and own fridge in the room is a good option, I got a message each day when it was ready on a tray outside the room (I put my do not disturb on the door) And self check in was straight forward too, it’s very common now and much better when you don’t know exactly what time you’ll be arriving. I’m a single female traveller on a budget, so I like simple, convenient places to stay, just need a bed and a shower. During this trip Pratola has really grown on me, I walked into town each morning for another coffee, tried all the bars, all lovely, and again in the evening, for a glass of wine or just to people watch. I found the market on Friday morning just as I was leaving, and also the 24h Carrefour nearby which was a life saver. Can’t wait to visit again!

Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
A nice and cosy hotel a little bit outside of city centre. Good parking and a very good italian restaurant just across the street. I can warmly recommend the hotel
Stylish and comfortable stay in historic Scanno. We loved the old family furniture and setting. But it’s also super comfy, with a cosy heated bathroom and quilts on the bed; tea and coffee making facilities; fast WiFi; easy parking; next to all amenities. Host Matilde is super friendly and offers a delicious breakfast with multiple options including eggs, pancakes, local cheese and ham, homemade cake. It was easily the best breakfast of our trip! Highly recommend this memorable spot.
The host was extremely friendly - she happily put our bikes in her garage. She asked us what we wanted for breakfast and cooked us the most delicious omelette. Ver helpful
it was within easy walking distance of the town but far enough tout to be very quiet and peaceful. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. ample breakfast and huge cup of cappuccino. Although we spoke little Italian, the host was very kind and generous.
The best place we stayed in Italy. Maria Luisa was a charming host, breakfast large and varied, room generous size, chalet beautifully designed into the rock reminiscent of Frank Lloyd Wight's Fallingwater! Scanno is a beautiful hill-top village with ancient traditions and costume still in view.
