We spent a night in Barga as my wife celebrated her birthday. Everything is as described - view from the room is amazing. Everything was clean, room was very spacious. We visited Barga in November and room was very warm. We learned that this house is quite new, however it has built in Italian style like classic old house, and we felt very welcome. Room was really quiet, but at the same time it is located in the old, beautiful, historic center. Bed was big and comfortable, all amentities were provided (shampoo, shower gel, towels).
Julie is a very nice person, we had an opportunity to spent together some time during the breakfast, which was amazing, Julie asked precisely what we want to eat and we were offered such breakfast.
Barga is a beatufil place, if we decide to spend once again time there, we will come back to this place.

A beautiful well appointed room which was exactly as described. it is a few minutes away from Barga train station and 4km from Barga itself. Every detail had been thought of including wine glasses and a cork screw The large room with equipt with a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. The bed was very comfortable with good quality bedding. A bathroom with shower was large and modern. we enjoyed the lovely semi private patio area with table and chairs. The garden is beautiful and the pool will be great in summer.
The owners were great hosts, very friendly and kind, we will return if we are in the area again.
Breakfast was at a cafe/bar less than 2 minutes walk away.

The village is set in the Tuscan mountains surrounded by beautiful scenery. The hotel is easy to find and is a short walk from the village free car park (about 30-seconds). There is a local shop which stocks a surprising amount of items which is about 20 metres from the restaurant. The food in the restaurant is amazing and the staff were happy to cook bespoke dishes for me as a pescatarian, I visited the supermarket in Castelnovo and bought Salmon which they served with fettuccine and it was fantastic. The food on the menu is cooked from all locally sourced ingredients and my Son especially liked the wild Rabbit and Boar dishes. The staff lead by Andrea were all very helpful, and the beer was typical Italian beer, not cheap imported beer. The wine is locally produced and some were rather expensive at 50 Euros, but as I understand it, these wines are hard to get in the UK and you would be paying 80-90 Euros for the same bottles.

This apartment is very clean and modern. We had everything needed to make us comfortable. It looks newly renovated with a modern kitchen and bathroom. The host doesn't speak much English but is charming. We had enough pellets for the heating and the house was warm. Quiet mountain location but good restaurant and shops nearby.

Beautiful historical villa very centrally located in Barga. Very quiet. Super nice staff. Interior a bit outdated but with lots of charm. Spacious, very clean room with ensuite bathroom, comfy bed and very nice view to the city centre. Delicious breakfast. Fast and easy communication and super nice owners. Highly recommended.

The location is fantastic and is akin to being situated in the LOTR movie set. The old town is beautiful and the mountains are gorgeous. Great location for exploring but you do need a car, however there is parking just outside the house. The host is extremely helpful and friendly.
The location is great as it is right in the town centre of Barga. The accommodation is fantastic and the view from the balcony is breathtaking. Julie is such a great host. I wish I was still there!
