Serene setting on the bank of the calm sea, with some historic value for the locals.Apartment was very spacious, beds very comfortable and views just wonderful. The host was wonderful accepting withoutextra charge to rebook our stay by one day (i made a mistake in the dates of the original booking - very, very nice gesture. All the facilities were in pristine condition, we really enjoyed our stay.

Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
This is a charming small guesthouse with just a few rooms. Communication with the hosts was quick and efficient and the welcome was extremely friendly. Our room with a great view of the little harbour and the island with the lighthouse was cosy, clean and comfortable. Breakfast (15 € per person) was plenty and tasty. The room rates aren't low but the accommodation offers good value for money. Stykkisholmur with its old traditional houses is a pretty small fishing town well worth a visit.
Great location with food stands across the street and a stroll to a beautiful lookout point. With unique, antique furniture and a rustic feel to the guesthouse, it was comfortable and the parking is just next to the guesthouse. It was a clean, comfortable guesthouse with a full kitchen in a very charming seaside town! Had a lovely stay.
The room was quiet & the beds were warm & comfortable. The kitchen facilities were great & the bathrooms were clean with plenty of stalls. The staff we spoke to were very friendly & helpful, too, & the location of the guesthouse was great.
Charming boutique Hotel - excellent breakfast, with a view on the sea and the lighthouse, quiet and super service by the friendly staff. Would love to be there again.
Hotel Egilsen is somewhere between a boutique hotel and a high end guesthouse. The renovation of this authentic building has been executed with great attention to detail and great taste. Some may consider the rooms small, that is more a reflection of the authenticity. It was warm, cozy and very comfortable for our January trip. Our host C. was exceptional. He made us very welcome. Note there is no dinner service, but there are restaurants nearby.
There is everything you need in this guesthouse.
The beds were also very confortable and the room as well as the bathroom were very clean.
Monika was also such a great host! She gave us so many good recommendations to visit Snæfellsness. Thanks to her, we had an amazing time there.
Quiet and comfortable guesthouse in a brilliant location near the harbour and restaurants. Friendly and welcoming hosts who were helpful with lots of suggestions for walks and the best places to eat.
