We love the breakfast. Hosts make sure that we had enough and they were attentive until we finish eating. The breakfast has everything, cereals, seeds, pancakes, eggs, bread, meats, and so on.
The place could be seen as little and simple but the truth is that once you are in, the ambient is very cozy, nice, clean and comfortable. Another thing is that is near from everywhere between the city, golden circle or if you need to go to the beach. Please not hesistate when the rooms are available. We really enjoy the sauna also!!! My family and I went to 3 different types of stays> cottage, hotels and houses in Iceland but this will keep in our hearts!!!

The location is perfect for watching the northern lights. It’s very quiet and close to the Geysir.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
I stayed at Heidi Guesthouse with my dad for one night on our two-week trip to Iceland. As it was a self-check-in, we did not meet the host. However, two days before our stay I received an email with instructions - the communication and organisation is exceptional. The room and communal areas were very clean and tidy. The location was wonderful - it is a stand-alone building which provides a lot of privacy, peace, and quiet for those who seek it. Also, the Faxi Waterfall is only a two-minute drive away. Highly recommended!
The hostel is in a great location. The coffee lounge area was good and we ate at the picnic benches outside as the weather was glorious. It’s cheap for Iceland and the place is basic. there were some lovely dogs and homemade Icelandic jumpers.
The hosts are very friendly and welcoming and charming. The guest house is spacious and well situated, not far from the attractions (glacier, waterfalls, volcano...). The breakfast is copious and hearty, exactly what you need for Icelandic hiking trips and weather. A very nice stay, the best we had in Iceland.
Really enjoyed our stay here, the breakfast was great and hosts very friendly. Great location for Selfoss. We were lucky enough to see the northern lights just by standing outside the guesthouse, the host knocks politely to let you know to go outside if you want to!
Our room was spacious, clean and comfy (I saw some rooms are much smaller, but guess cheaper too). Great location on the Golden Circle and good value for the price. The host was friendly and thoughtful. Recommend!
Great host, who has designed a unique guesthouse, kitchen has everything one needs, plenty of bathrooms, perfect starting point for the Golden Circle, and the Kerið crater is just around the corner!
