The room was quiet and warm.
Bed was comfortable.
Kitchen was well-equipped and large enough for occupants of two rooms to prepare food. The dining area was a little cramped.

From looking at the pictures, we expected something a lot smaller and different. We were pleasantly surprised! The fishing-themed interior design is very charming and the room very cozy. Nothing compares to the location at the very end of the peninsula - it was so quiet except for the calming sound of the waves! We had a great view of the northern lights from there. The hot tubs and sauna were a great bonus, too.

Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Easy to get to Reykjavik from this location. The kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms, and common sitting area was very clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. This would be an excellent place to stay near Reykjavik, if you have a vehicle, for a couple of day for a family requiring 3 bedrooms. This guesthouse is in a country setting.
We really enjoyed our stay at the guesthouse. It was quite comfortable and spacious for the 3 of us. The shared spaces were clean and the kitchen well stocked. We also loved the view from the balcony and the animals that roamed the property. We hope to stay there again in the future
The room was clean, the lady that checked us in was nice, a fan was provided in the room, and the location of the Guesthouse was nice. Food items were provided for breakfast. Location felt safe. Price of stay was great.
Everything was just perfect, the hosts took care of every detail. The cottage is equipped with everything you may need and it’s located just at the lake, with a beautiful lake vie from the window. After the travel and sightseeing, you can relax in sauna and hot tube, even the bathrobes are ensured :)
The host was very nice, plenty of parking lots, cleaned room. Since we were 5 and booked the breakfast just for 3 they were so kind to offer breakfast to the others 2!
Accommodation at Minna-Mosfell Guesthouse was just great - I recommend to everyone who plans visiting Thingvellir and surroundings. Very calm and peaceful location, with friendly, super kind and helpful host, breakfast included and amazing view from living / dining room... it`s exceptional accommodation, we liked it a lot! Thank you very much for everything!
Fantastic warm place. Genial host. Terrific location. Much impressed with photography memorabilia. Couldn't have asked for better facilities. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
Host was very friendly and accommodating! Great location - not too far from Reykjavik, but far enough that light pollution for viewing the aurora isn't much of an issue. Supermarket close by, and nice swimming pool with hot tubs etc. Really clean, modern, warm house. Plenty of space for 2 adults and 4 lively kids (2 sharing).
Absolutely great host. We were booked for the small apartment however there was a booking clash, so Ásta moved us into the big apartment free of charge.
Communication with Ásta was excellent, she offered to show us around the home & she made sure everything was taken care of for our stay.
The apartment was modern & luxurious, great facilities & super clean, plus very comfortable beds. Great way to finish off my trip here in Reykjavík.
