My host was lovely, and among the few Icelanders in the hospitality industry (most are East Europeans). He was full of advice and ideas for things not to miss. Local knowledge can’t be beat!

Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
Sonja was a great hostess and we loved our stay at her place with great backyard and a whirpool. Fully equipped house with everything you might need. We would definitely recommend and looking forward to come back.
The guesthouse is very comfortabele and the kitchen is well equiped and clean. Haraldur is a very enthusiastic host with plenty of recommendations for daytrips and information about Iceland. Good breakfast.
Magical little guesthouse nestled among the forest. Room was newly renovated. Lovely modern bathroom facilities. Warm powerful shower. Very warm and informative welcome from the host. Great breakfast included. We took a little walk down to the hot springs through the snowy forest and dipped our feet in the water. Loved everything about our stay. Was short but very memorable.
Great location, quiet, very cosy and comfortable. The host was very welcoming and kind, showed us how and when to hunt for the northern lights (and we saw them the same night!).
The breakfast was amazing, the atmosphere was very homely. Wish we could have stayed here longer, it was great place to rest.
The guesthouse is lovely, and so is the host. You can tell that thought has been given to small details, which guests can enjoy. The breakfast was quite good and overall a pleasant experience for us.
Harold was an extremely welcoming host and very helpful. He is very friendly and approachable and should be proud of his guesthouse. Parking is free and good continental breakfast. Really enjoyed the sour milk :)
The house is super nice, cozy, very good equipped and well located. The room is big enough for two people (with small kitchen though I’d recommend to use the big kitchen as it has everything you need), modern facilities and clean. The host cares a lot of his guests, Harald also prepares a local tasty breakfast and takes his time to explain how to prepare the Iceland breakfast. Super recommended Guesthouse!!
Cozy looking guest house. We had everything that was needed. Good breakfast and possibly to try Icelandic food/produce.
Guesthouse owner was knowledgeable and friendly making atmosphere even homier.
