Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
Lovely host, so friendly and checked on us a couple of times. Beautiful place, the beds were so comfy! Beautiful kitchen area. Hot spring at back of property was amazing to hear too. Thanks for having us! Only reason I haven’t given 10/10 is hot tub wasn’t working- think it’s common this time of year as too cold :)
Fantastic house! Lovely view down to the distant steaming river. Fabulous hot tub outside. Very comfortable beds and furniture, well-equipped kitchen, nice bathrooms. Very kind, friendly and helpful host who lives in a house on the same site (with a very friendly and fluffy dog). Will definitely stay again.
The best house in Iceland. Host was so kind and nice. I could see nice horses, lovely dog and hot springs.
Thank you very much for your kindness with cozy stay.

How does it work?
1
It starts with a booking
It starts with a booking
The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.
2
Followed by a trip
Followed by a trip
When guests stay at the property, they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff is, and more.

And finally, a review

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.
