Beautiful clean room, underfloor heating and spotless. Obviously fairly new as in perfect condition and it has a lovely shared kitchen dining area which we had to ourselves most of our stay. Robes and crocs are supplied to walk into the secret lagoon which you have unlimited access to during your stay however it does close at 7 pm. During our stay in Iceland this is actually where we saw the northern lights from at midnight from the car park looking out over the trees.

It is very close to the main attractions. We booked very early so the price was also reasonable. We went in winter and heating was working good. Very new place, clean, kitchen was fully equipped as well.

This was a really nice, rural place to stay. It's run by people who need supported living. We had a small apartment with 2 beds in the lounge area and a sofa and separate kitchen dinner, plus bathroom and extra bedroom with 2 beds in. Then there were communal rooms to share with other guest bedrooms, large kitchen fully stocked with lots of tables, a conservatory and lounge with family games plus 4 communal bathrooms. Its a good choice to stay when visiting the Golden circle area, nice peaceful and rural. There is a cafe and shop which sell products made by the residents to raise funds. A picturesque, rural and peaceful location to stay.

The location is perfect for watching the northern lights. It’s very quiet and close to the Geysir.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
This guest house offered the best bang for buck on our trip. Good host. Well equipped kitchen. Nice hot spring nearby. A couple of hours from the airport.
Lovely place in a quiet and secluded location close to two hot springs and the golden circle route. The kitchen is well-equipped for cooking, and the abundant self-service breakfast is great. Clean, comfortable beds, the hand towels in the shared bathrooms are a lovely touch. Friendly hosts.
I like the price! The cheapest room we booked in Iceland. The girl that greeted us was very friendly. It's like a mix of guest house and hostel. If you don't have much expectations you will be fine ☺️
Very nice beautiful farm location to have a short night rest. It has a kitchen, 2 shared bathrooms with hand soap, shower and big parking space outside.
Easy access, check in. Room was warm. Clean sheets and towels.
For a short budget friendly stay in a warm place, close to points of interest I do recommend it!
Fantastic hostel-like b&b in a great location on the Golden Circle! The room is small, but the common areas are very comfortable and have everything you could possibly need. Very friendly host as well!
To top everything off, we saw the Northern lights from our bedroom window!! (see photo)
Quiet, clean, charming retro style rooms. The host quickly obliged when we asked for extra pillows. Breakfast was included in the price. It was OK - bread / toast / cheese / meats / cereals / tea and coffee. Nothing wrong with that, but nothing special either. We would happily stay at Guesthouse Fluđir again.
- Silke is a friendly hostess
- Clean and everything well organized (everything is labeled, so easy to find cutleries, pans etc.)
- The room is small, but comfortable and there is enough place to store items
- The kitchen has everything you need for cooking
- Quiet location and not that far from the village
- The price is cheap by Iceland standards, so price-value ratio excellent
Great place, great location, very clean, nice hosters, super cute dog, close to Hrunalaug Hot Springs (lovely and cheap). Great breakfast. Super comfortable beds, very cosy room. We loved it !
