It was wonderful. Lovely hosts room was modern decorated, very comfortable and very clean. We didn’t have supper there as arriving late but if we stayed again would have supper, smelled delicious. Breakfast was lovely and gorgeous view of ocean from dining area and watched whales at breakfast. Amazing views.

It was pretty convenient, because we were doing the ring road and we needed a place to spend the night before arriving into Reikiavik again. It was in front of a restaurant that serves food from morning to 10 pm, which is not common in Iceland. There’s a gas station pretty near the property and a supply store. The room was spacious and clean.

Owners of this place were really friendly. Its located pretty much in Blondous centre. We were able to find free parking spots right infront of the guest house.

We enjoyed this farm house! It was a homely lodging with a cute sitting room and heirloom art, cross-stitching, and furniture throughout. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pots, and utensils for cooking. The beds (all singles or twins) were very comfortable, and the farm was very scenic. Overall it was a cozy change from the more modern and minimalist guesthouses that we stayed at for the majority of our trip.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
Super nice house and host, incredibly cozy atmosphere everywhere, we felt welcome and home immediately.
Inga was super generous with our rooms, easy going and also a great cook. Breakfast was great and overall our stay didn’t feel like a guesthouse since it was so clean, beautifully furnished and calm.
The guesthouse is located with a direct view of the sea where some lucky people sometimes even spot whales.
I can not say there was anything wrong, as this was simply a phenomenal stay. Beautiful modern room with good beds and a great shower, combined with great hosts and a splendid home-cooked meal while overlooking the sea. Simply wonderful. Breakfast buffet was perfect as well - really enjoyed the fresh bread. I would definitely come here again and I recommend this to everyone.
This was my favorite stay in all of my Iceland trip. The guesthouse was very modern, exceptionally clean, and the attention to detail in the amenities was apparent. The host Sonya was extremely friendly and the breakfast included homemade breads. Common areas were comfy as well.
The host is super friendly and helpful and the whole guesthouse is in good condition.
If you don't need a kitchen, then you'll have everything you need in a comfortable place to stay.
The guesthouse is located in a beautiful place. Our host, Radek, was in communication with me all day and despite the electricity issues in the area he accomodated our group in another building, which was comfortable. He replied to all my questions in a friendly and professional manner. Despite the cold and windy weather we were welcomed by the hot pot outside, that helped us to relax after long trip.
I recommend staying in Hvammur Guesthouse.
Beautiful view, clean and comfortable. Wonderful hosts. We choose to have the three course dinner at the guesthouse and we would recommend this if you stay. Breakfast was also scrumptious.
A wonderful room with the view on the sea,
a good breakfast in a very welcoming dinner room. We had also dinner at the guesthouse and we recommend you. Hosts are excellent cooks!
The hosts were great! We had dinner at the guesthouse and the food was really fantastic. Inga, the owner, has a recipe book (we bought it!). The house is very clean, as well as the restrooms.
Guesthouse Tilraun was in a lovely quiet village next to the sea and the river. It was immaculately clean and well appointed and had a lovely lounge and guest kitchen. Perfect blackout curtains for a really good nights sleep in the midnight sun! Short walking distance to a great bird-hide overlooking the river. Exceptional value all up and would highly recommend!
