Great rooms right on the side of Ashtamundi Lake. Seating outside each room and garden chillout area with hammocks. Very clean. Helpful friendly staff who help with all tours, arrangements and travel. Tuktuk driver on call, just ask for Sudhi who will look after you.

Place is well taken care of. Super clean and well and natural-minimalistic decorated. I loved the garden VERY MUCH. It gives a relax ambience and helps you feel in peace. There also a couple of hammocks and comfy chairs to lay down.
The owners are a very sweet couple that will care very much of you.
Hatha Yoga classes are provided every morning by the same owner and you can either join or skip. Breakfast also super good and different every morning. Always with a nice fresh juice, fruits and some other savoury local or western side.
WiFi was also working well, which was important for me as I was also remote working. Sometimes will experience some electricity cuts in the town and obviously WiFi would shut down, but nothing to do about it!
I also really like that they have a desk in every room, which allowed me to spend some hours a day working.
Also a plus is that they’re is a common kitchen and fridge, which is super handy for travelers! Also was very clean and trash was taken out every day.
I did enjoy my stay pretty much and would come back!

Molly's hostel is located on the South Cliff which is much more quiet part of Varkala. Food options are amazingly tasty and very cheap (although it's good to order in advance because it takes some time to prepare)
The staff is amazing. Friendly, talkative and really helpful. There is a great atmosphere. The dorm for 8 people was quite comfy. Very tasty and quite cheap meals in a hostel restaurant. Great location if you want to be near very calm beach. There are available some board games, hammock... in general, very chill atmosphere. Thanks!

Very cozy and comfortable guesthouse, well-located away from the busy cliff tourist area (but still within walking distance). Our room was spacious, and the bed quality was excellent.
The guesthouse is quiet and located just 1 minute away from the beach in a charming garden.
Food is available, and laundry service is provided.
We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely come back if we return to Varkala!
Lovely place in a great location on the north cliff in Varkala, around 5 minute to the beach. Extremely close to all the restaurants/shops along the cliff but set back slightly so it is nice and quiet. Nice room with good fan, hot water and Wi-Fi. Nice little outdoor area outside the room with table and chairs which was shared with another room. Free water refills. Able to pay by card. The host was very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend.
Casa Loreta is a good value guest house in a great location on the cliffs. Very helpful and friendly host. They arranged a taxi to collect us from the airport.
This is a great traditional, rustic guest house. Peaceful and tranquil. Great size rooms and balcony. Great location, just 2 minutes walk to the beach. Beautiful little garden. Sonny the host has a lovely calm nature and is very helpful. I loved having my breakfast each morning on the spacious balcony in private. 1 dog and 2 ducks add to the charm.
Rakha and the two other staff members were great hosts in a lovely homestay. The room was nice, good quiet location near the beach and restaurants, etc. We would definitely stay there again.
Arun, the owner is an incredible host. This property is in a great location, very quiet and close to the beach. The rooms were very spacious and clean. The WiFi was also very fast.
