Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. The area and entrance was off-putting when I first arrived and seemed overcrowded and rundown but once I was on the floor of the hotel it was peaceful and pleasant and quiet with good hot water shower, pretty spacious, no mosquitoes, comfortable bed. The area is better than it looks at first and has good fresh fruit juice shops and good quality inexpensive food in some of the small eateries around it. Excellent value and close to railway junction and bus ticket booking shops.
