Staff there all the time ready to help or advise points of interest.So much space in common areas with lots of lounging beds on various floors and games to play.Some activities planned for some evenings.Small kitchen area with drinking water available.

Location is great right across from Auroville Visitor Center. Very quiet place away from the main road. Room was very clean and spacious. Host is always available for anything you might need help with.

A quaint old bungalow that has been converted into a nice guest house. The rooms have the old-world flavor still! A cleanly maintained place, and the staff is quick with assisting anything needed. It has safe internal parking spaces.

I loved my stay at Funk Monk Hostel! I felt so comfortable day in, day out. Everything is so neat & clean like I haven’t experienced it before in whole India. The location is situated in a very calm environment just 5 min away from the visitor center by bicycle which made us sleep so well. Apart from that, the owner Krishna is a very helpful guy and has many tips to offer about what to do in Auroville. The food in the hostel is tasty and cheap. Would definitely come back, if was here another time! :)
The host is really friendly. They helped me check in late and offered to help with getting some stuff. Place is close to the main road, is quiet and home like.
This is a well-positioned hostel that has private rooms as well, one of which I booked. That way I was able to have both privacy and comfort and meet other travellers in the common spaces. Common spaces are good, the staff are excellent, my room was great, surroundings are quiet and I was able to both work on my laptop during the day and have good rest overnight.
