The room was simple but clean. The bathroom was brand new and very clean. We didn't use the shared areas as we ate and drank in the town. The accommodation is perfect for no frills and affordable stays - the most important thing for me is that it was very clean.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
A wonderful cosy spot in a gorgeous little town, room was so warm, awesome shower, quiet house even though it was full, beds were so comfy. My two kids,4+10, shared a family room and they loved it so much they said it felt like home away from home,we stayed in a big cork hotel previous two nights and Madelines beat it hands down according to my daughter which was a result for Dad😀also so many activities in the area so perfect location and free on street parking
The property is in a great location. It is central in the square with local eateries, shops and a pub within walking distance. Great for travelling to weddings in Ballybeg House. The room was setup perfectly. It was clean and had everything we needed. The keyless entry system is fab and so easy!
We were going to a wedding nearby in Ballybeg House and Madeline’s was the perfect location. It was a short drive away, the room was very comfortable and spotless. Communication with the host was fast and they were very accommodating allowing us to check in early before the wedding.
Yellow Heights Country House is a lovely spacious and very comfortable place to stay. The gardens are beautiful and the children (&adults) loved having the cows right outside the back door (in a separate field!). Maura is a really lovely host and gave us a great welcome. It is in an ideal location for walking part of the Wicklow Way.
The house was absolutely spotless and beautifully furnished. The location was perfect, so peaceful and quiet. The host was exceptionally friendly and made us feel very welcome. We would come back here any time.
The property was very spacious; clean; nicely secluded; the beds were very comfortable and the bed linens were lovely. The property gardens were well maintained and there was a lovely outside space to sit out in the evening sun. The property was well located in a quiet part of Wicklow with good access to Wicklow National Park and the sites of County Wicklow.
Maura, the host, was delightful and very helpful. We would definitely return if we were visiting the area again.
Peaceful quiet location with lots of privacy, beautiful furniture, very tastefully decorated, every room flooded with light, exceptionally clean, kitchen equipped with all you can ask for and
Maura is a wonderful host, the pictures on the website don't do it any justice, all of it is so much nicer when you are there. I would book it again in a shot.
