The location was ideal. It was a short walk to town to enjoy the people and businesses. This morning we went for a hike a short distance away at Deer Park, and we were glad we started from The Monkey Puzzle.

We were on a motorcycle trip. Sean was great about providing us with secure, off-street parking for our rented BMW. The room we stayed in was very pleasant and comfy. He even provided snacks and breakfast basics, which we'd not expected. The town itself was quiet and very charming.

Waterside Guesthouse is in a charming location on a river about 30 minutes to Kilkenny. We wanted to stay there because it was on the list of Ireland’s most beautiful villages. The owners were really friendly and welcoming. We received tips on what to do and where to eat. Breakfast was super good—juice, coffee, eggs porridge, bacon, pancakes—all delicious! Would highly recommend!

Great location just over an hour out of Dublin. This was our last stop on our road trip, the host was lovely and met us when we got there. Room was large and everything we needed. We got to meet the two sweet pups on the farm and the donkeys which was so amazing! Hot water, comfy bed, coffee in the morning! All great!
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.

We had a delightful stay at this charming B&B with a French flair. The unique blend of Irish hospitality and French elegance made our one-night stay truly memorable. The rooms were very clean, cozy and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was a highlight, offering a delicious mix of traditional Irish and French pastries. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique and comfortable stay!
What an excellent choice. Lovely quaint B&B which I would highly recommend. Room was comfortable and very quiet which surprised me as it was near a service station which closes early . Phil was very accommodating and provided the best service we have had for a while. Breakfast was freshly cooked and excellent. Lovely garden at the rear. She was able to provide recommendations for local restaurants. People in the local area were very friendly.
Great location right in centre of charming town. Easy to find, clean, modern, well designed place. Clearly some thought and effort given to rooms and layout. Good shower, good WiFi, very comfortable bed. Coffee and tea facility in room.
Welcoming host at reception area on arrival. Simple concept very well done.
