I had an exceptional experience at Vaughn's Anchor Inn. I had the best meal of my trip there (including a visit to Spain), the hosts were incredibly welcoming and kind and went above and beyond to accommodate us. The entire facility was clean and fresh, cozy and warm. I would absolutely stay there again and recommend!

Armada House, hotel in Kilfenora

Dating back to c1810, this ‘Gentleman’s Residence’ has been recently restored to its former glory, and today presents in a classical yet creative style, with impressive art and antique collection.

The Armada House is a wonderful hotel. The staff make sure everything is the way you want it -- the chocolates and Irish Cream in the room was a nice touch. The room was beautiful and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfasts were superb. Kitty did an amazing job on the breakfasts. There are several common rooms to relax in during the evening and enjoy a drink.

Beautiful home in a quiet location, just 2 minute drive to Kilfenora village. Very clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. Trish is a fantastic host who has thought of everything. Providing the lovely welcome essentials (bread, milk, cereal, juice) was so thoughtful and welcoming as we arrived in the evening. We didn't want to leave!

John was an excellent host. Explaining everything about the house plus available on what’s app. Also he took the time to tell us about recommended local attractions and how to get there and even go to cheaper and better locations. John, suggested the Burren visitor centre for breakfast, an excellent choice each morning as was the Vaughan local pub. Live music plus the publican and the pub were in Father Ted ! 10/10 we couldn’t falter our lovely stay.

This property was great. It is right in the town of Kilfenora. There were great places for breakfast and it is close to many sightseeing locations. The rooms were very nice, comfortable, and roomy with a nice garden view. Nuola was grand. She was very helpful about all things -- sightseeing, where to eat, etc. and whenever she said the weather was going to be great -- she was right on point. She was a great hostess. I enjoyed my stay at this property and will be back here.

The location was beautiful, remote and quiet. We had a lovely lounge room and a big bedroom and bathroom. The bed was extremely comfortable with beautiful sheets and the towels were big and fluffy. Even though the location was remote the local shops and pubs were only 5 minutes away. We had not been expecting breakfast but the owner spoilt us with fresh fruit, cereal, croissants and toast, very much appreciated.

Wonderfully cosy and the little extra holiday touches were brilliant. Access to entertainment systems, speedy broadband and a fully equipped kitchen meant we couldn't have asked for more. It's a nice short walk to 3 pubs and 2 stores and a clothes boutique in a charming village.
