Fabulous home & very welcoming host. Beautifully furnished property. Excellent double room, and traditional Irish breakfast set us up for the day. Good location to town although it would have been useful to know there were several pubs close to the property for evening meal.

They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
What a great location! Kenmare was our lovely town to base our exploration of the Ring of Kerry and O'Sheas Ceol Na Habhann B&B was excellent. Less than 5 minutes out of town, it was quiet with lovely countryside views. The host is amazing, as was the breakfast!
Great location, exceptionally clean, host was fantastic, so helpful with local information. Just loved the views from the house. So quiet especially at night. I'll definitely be back.
Breakfast was exceptional - great choice and very generous portions to set you up for the day. Bed was big and comfortable and the room decor was gorgeous. Great location right in the heart of Kenmare but away from the pubs so very quiet. Lucy is a great hostess.
Maureen our host was charming and friendly. She keeps a spotlessly clean house in a lovely quiet location with great views of the estuary and the hills in the distance.
Parking on-site and only a 5 minute drive to the town of Kenmare.
The B&B is located in a very quiet residential area about 10 minutes walk from the city center. Mary is an incredibly kind and friendly host. She offered excellent advice on restaurants and pubs and her breakfast is fabulous - we especially recommend her freshly made pancakes.

Kenmare is a beautiful and nice town.
We definitely recommend Poppyfield House.
Delicious and wholesome breakfast, with fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, juice, hot food and toast, all freshly prepared. Reg and Gary were great hosts. We were particularly grateful for the advice about local attractions and facilities.
Location was very beautiful, and Phil was a great host! It was a super great location for doing the Ring of Kerry, and was really quiet and peaceful. We loved the room and felt safe & comfortable.
