Everything was lovely--the room, the host, and the location. Breakfast was delicious every morning, and Michael was super helpful in giving us food recommendations. Plus, Michael's dog, Juno, was a delight to play with and incredibly friendly. I'd travel to Sligo just to stay here again.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
Welcoming host, in wonderful spacious room in modern house in rural setting on quiet road; excellent bed and great bathroom. Tea and coffee facilities and supplies with light snacks provided in self-service kitchen area.
The room was spotless, the beds were very comfortable. It was a lovely, quiet location. The host Anne was very helpful. It was only 5 minutes from the village of Ballymote and 30 minutes from Strandhill beach.
This is a very special place to stay. The house and rooms are enormous and the breakfasts are excellent. Despite being so large, there is a nice informal feel to the place and we could come and go as we pleased. Roderick is a charming host.
A lovely room with direct access to a quiet lounge area for sitting down. Our host was very helpful and we were able to store our bikes away securely in a garage. Breakfast was great. The house and gardens were extremely well looked after.
The views from house are wonderful seeing cows and chickens on the lawn.
Lovely accommodation and friendly host.
Great location for attending a nearby wedding.
The perfect place to get a break from the city life, so peaceful and quiet, just amazing, the views are magnificent! And just a short drive away from everything you need. The house is in excellent condition, warm and clean, and the host is exceptionally friendly and helpful. I will stay there again.
Very nice and clean accommodation in a quiet location in the middle of pastures, wonderful views and a very very very nice host! :-)
