All you need for a few days on the west coast would recommend
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Lovely place overall; great location (quiet yet very short walking distance to town center); beautiful room with a comfy bed and pristine bathroom; excellent soundproofing; great breakfast; delightful hostess Irene
Great Hosts - Great Location - easy walk to Ardara town, the Distillery (and Showgrounds on the day that was in it!). I recommend all visitors to enquire about the Rugby jersey on display in the Hall !
Corby House is in a great location, you can easily walk into Ardara. Arlene is a great host and was easy to contact, we also had a lovely meal in her Pantry too. Chinese take away & Nancy's gets the thumbs up too. It's a good base for exploring Donegal.
The view was amazing from the guesthouse, with high plateaus and the distant cliffs of Slieve League in the far south visible on a clear day. Louise was a great host who was always ready to help and cooked a wonderful full Irish breakfast. There were snacks and water available, which was nice, as well as coffee and tea in the room. She even supplied a foldable bed so we had a 'twin' room - this was very nice of her. All in all we had a wonderful stay!
A very nice, well-run guest house, within a few minutes walking distance of the centre of Ardara. Irene our friendly host looked after us well, and provided an excellent breakfast with a variety of options. The room we had was fairly small but very comfortable, clean and quiet, There are a small number of bars and restaurants in Ardara, some of which had live traditional music which we enjoyed very much. A good base for travelling round Donegal. Would happily stay here again.
Helen & her husband were great hosts & made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Great location to a nearby village for great food. Close to assaranca waterfall.
Absolutely fabulous! Amazing views, quiet and comfortable. Hosts very friendly, welcoming and helpful. I will certainly be back. A great location to explore a stunning region of Donegal.
